Job Description

The Director, Global Supply Planning Excellence & Transformation is the global leader responsible for the design, governance, execution, and continuous improvement of Olympus' end-to-end supply planning processes.

This role serves as the Global Process Owner for Supply Planning and is accountable for establishing world-class planning capabilities that enable superior customer service, inventory performance, supply reliability, operational agility, business continuity, and profitable growth.

The Director leads the development and deployment of planning processes across Supply Planning, Capacity Planning, Network Replenishment, Supply Response, and Supply Chain Scenario Planning within Enterprise IBP ensuring alignment between business strategy, commercial objectives, operational capabilities, and financial commitments.

Working across regions, manufacturing sites, business units, Digital, Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams, the Director drives planning transformation, digitalization, AI-enabled decision making, supply risk management, and organizational capability development to create a scalable global planning organization.

Job Duties

  • Serve as the Global Process Owner for Supply Planning, leading the design, governance, standardization, and continuous improvement of the end-to-end global supply planning operating model.
  • Lead the development of the global Supply Review process within the Enterprise IBP framework, aligning business strategy, commercial objectives, operational capabilities, and financial commitments across planning horizons.
  • Drive supply chain business performance by improving customer service, inventory health, working capital, capacity utilization, supply plan adherence, and planning productivity through KPI management and corrective actions.
  • Establish and deploy global planning standards, methodologies, governance, controls, and best practices to enhance planning maturity, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead network, capacity, and supply chain optimization initiatives, including long-range planning, capacity assessments, inventory strategies, and supply network improvement opportunities.
  • Champion global supply risk and resilience management by developing proactive planning methodologies, contingency strategies, business continuity capabilities, and risk-based decision-making processes.
  • Develop and implement scenario planning and decision-support capabilities, including simulations, what-if analyses, trade-off evaluations, and executive recommendations to address supply and capacity constraints.
  • Define and drive the global digital supply planning strategy, including planning technologies, advanced analytics, automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, SAP IBP, and data governance capabilities.
  • Build organizational capability by developing planning talent, competency frameworks, training programs, and global communities of practice while fostering a culture of planning excellence and continuous improvement.


Job Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive supply chain experience with deep expertise in Supply Planning, Master Planning, Capacity Planning, S&OP/IBP, and supply chain operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading global process improvement, planning transformation, or supply chain excellence initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success designing, deploying, and sustaining standardized planning processes across multiple regions, business units, or manufacturing sites.
  • Demonstrated leadership of global supply planning organizations within complex manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading large-scale business transformation and organizational change programs across multiple regions.
  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive alignment across highly matrixed organizations.
  • Experience establishing governance models, process performance metrics, and operating disciplines that improve planning effectiveness and business outcomes.
  • Experience leading Integrated Business Planning (IBP) operating models.
  • Proven success driving measurable improvements in service, inventory, working capital, and operational performance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading digital supply chain and AI-enabled planning initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of end-to-end supply planning processes, planning hierarchies, and decision-making frameworks with expertise in:
    • Supply Planning.
    • Capacity Planning.
    • Inventory Optimization.
    • Network Planning.
    • Supply Risk Management.
    • Scenario Modelling.
    • Supply Chain Analytics.
    • Decision Support Systems.
  • Strong understanding of Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE).
  • Experience developing planning standards, process documentation, controls, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing advanced planning solutions such as:
    • SAP / S4HANA.
    • o9 Solutions.
    • Oracle Supply Chain Planning.
  • Experience leveraging data analytics, automation, AI-enabled planning, and digital transformation technologies to improve planning effectiveness.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and planning performance dashboards.
  • Willingness to travel when required to fulfil global responsibility.
  • Openness to work flexibly across multiple time zones.

Preferred:
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ERP environments (SAP preferred).
  • APICS CPIM.
  • APICS CSCP.
  • IBF CPF or CFP.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position is $154,866.00 - $216,812.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). This pay range represents the National Average of the range, and may vary depending on the location of the individual.

Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position, including level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
