Director, Global Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)

Job Summary:

The Director, Global Environmental, Health, and Safety will be responsible for the overall creation, development, and maintenance of an effective Global Environment Health & Safety (EHS) strategy and toolkit for the organization. This person will develop and lead the implementation of all Global EHS programs including updating existing and developing new programs. This person will provide effective team leadership and coaching on achieving world-class performance related to environmental health & safety and coordinating all interaction with internal & external EHS resources. Success in your role involves a high level of attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Job Responsibilities:
• Establish and administer global EHS policies, standards, procedures, and programs across the organization to ensure ongoing effectiveness and global compliance. Recommend and implement changes in accordance with changes in laws globally.
• Drive continuous improvement in key performance metrics including LTIR, TRIR, incidents, etc.
• Lead and promote the EHS function while developing & deploying a positive safety culture focused on influencing behaviors and team member empowerment.
• Raise awareness and knowledge of the importance of preventive measures, risk management, continuous improvement, performance measurement, and a focus on organizational EHS.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to establish EHS as a core competency of Array Technologies, and as central to the way we conduct business.
• Provide EHS consultation and information to support all company EHS efforts.
• Work cooperatively with all levels of management staff on EHS related issues as they impact other company functions.
• Ensures adequate and appropriate safety, environmental, and regulatory training for associates.
• Lead all organization-wide safety communications.
• Provide written reports and other EHS-related results and updates to senior management as requested.
• Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis, site remediation, and closure of corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure the workplace is compliant with all federal, state, and regional regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in safety engineering, industrial safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, business administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 10+ years Environmental Health & Safety experience with at least 5+ years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years prior experience implementing a Global EHS program.
• Ability to motivate and influence others at all levels to achieve safety & environmental objectives.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to communicate effectively.
• Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
• Excellent knowledge of manufacturing principles and assembly production is required.
• Experience using MS Office, MS Teams, Outlook.
• Ability to work across multiple organizations and business functions in a fast-paced environment.
