Job Description
As a member of the Aeronautics Communications leadership team, this role supports Aeronautics-wide communications initiatives to shape the employee and customer experience and supporting "back room" operations for the full Communications team.
• Leads the Employee and Executive Communications team. This team serves as trusted advisors to executive leadership team leaders and develops and executes communication strategies and plans supporting business initiatives and goals.
• Leads the Social Impact team. This team develops key community partnerships aligned to corporate social impact strategies, manages a grants and sponsorship budget, creates and supports employee volunteer opportunities, and manages the company's Employee Emergency Aid Fund (AeroCARES).
• Leads the Protocol and Events team. This team works with senior leaders and customers to plan and execute visits, business meetings and large-scale events.
• Leads the Aeronautics Communications Business Operations team. This team manages the full scope of finances, labor tracking and communications operating processes for the Communications team. Key elements include detailed budget planning, capital planning, direct/indirect charge accounting, Public Information Release Authorization administration and maintenance of Aeronautics Communications' command media.
• Serve as the crisis communications lead for Aeronautics.
Combined, the team includes about 30 employees primarily located in Fort Worth, as well as in Marietta, Georgia, and Palmdale, California.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field
• Experience leading teams covering more than one communications discipline (areas such as employee communications, media relations, social impact, marketing communications, crisis communications)
• Communications experience in more than one communications discipline (areas such as employee communications, media relations, social impact, marketing communications, crisis communications)
• Ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, public affairs officers, reporters and executive leadership
• Experience in developing and executing integrated strategic communications plans that reach target audiences
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $180,000 - $309,120. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
