Job DescriptionPosition Overview:We are seeking a Director, FP&A Special Projects to support Corporate FP&A and enterprise-wide finance initiatives. This role is designed for a hands-on finance professional who understands corporate FP&A, brings a strong ownership attitude, and can step into high-priority projects, ad hoc requests from leadership, and cross-functional process improvements.
As the Senior Manager, you will: - Support Corporate FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, management reporting, variance analysis, and executive-level financial presentations.
- Lead and execute special projects that require strong financial analysis, hands-on modeling, cross-functional coordination, and clear communication with stakeholders.
- Respond to ad hoc requests from executive leadership and business partners with timely, accurate, and actionable analysis.
- Help drive finance process improvement initiatives, including standardization of reporting, enhancement of planning processes, and development of scalable FP&A tools.
- Support system implementation efforts, including ERP and EPM projects, by helping define business requirements, validate financial data, test workflows, and support user adoption.
- Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Operations, IT, and business teams to ensure financial information is accurate, consistent, and decision-ready.
- Bring a hands-on approach and strong ownership mindset to ambiguous, fast-moving projects where structure may need to be created from the ground up.
Our ideal candidate will have:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in FP&A required; renewable and/or energy experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of Corporate FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, operating reviews, and management reporting.
- Hands-on financial modeling, data analysis, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insights.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ad hoc requests from senior leadership and deliver high-quality analysis under tight timelines.
- Experience supporting finance system implementations, upgrades, or process transformations; ERP and EPM experience strongly preferred.
- Strong ownership attitude, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to be hands-on while also thinking strategically.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, IT, and business functions.
