Full Job Description
Summary

The Director, Foreclosure is responsible for oversight and compliance of the foreclosure process from foreclosure referral through foreclosure sale. They are also responsible for coordinating, monitoring and the management of the Foreclosure staff which includes Foreclosure Milestone, Default Referral, Collateral, Document Execution, and Contested Foreclosure Specialists. This includes ensuring all investor/insurer requirements are completed both accurately and timely and in accordance to their guidelines from referral to the law firm, first legal filing, and through the foreclosure sale. In addition, the Director is responsible for managing attorney scorecard responses and work closely with Vendor Management on monitoring of attorney performance.

Essential Job Functions may include:
  • Carrying out management responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies, applicable laws and the company's overall guiding philosophy
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Foreclosure and Default Referral processes including but not limited to; timely referral to law firms, reviewing referral hold population, achieving 1st legal deadlines, achieving investor/insurer foreclosure timeline, timely execution of foreclosure documents, handling of contested foreclosure matters, working with Custodians to obtain collateral documents, management of attorney network.
  • Acting as a coach to the staff and motivating the group to achieve the desired results.
  • Performing hands-on training of all new hires in their charge.
  • Conducting periodic desk reviews and completing semiannual and annual performance reviews.
  • Load balancing workloads according to foreclosure volumes.
  • Assigning workloads to the foreclosure personnel for processing.
  • Writing letters or approving letters for use in the foreclosure department.
  • Assisting subordinates with foreclosure activities on difficult cases.
  • Examining quality of work conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Studying and standardizing procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Monitoring foreclosure attorneys and their quality of service.
  • Manage attorney scorecard rebuttals, work closely with Vendor Management to ensure attorney scorecard compliance.
  • Directly managing employees in the foreclosure department.
  • Interviewing and hiring new employees.
  • Addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws.
  • Exhibiting a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook/Word, Excel, Fiserv, Tempo and Business Objects.
  • Reviewing and responding to internal and external Quality Audits.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's Degree from a Four (4) year College or University; or four (4) to six (6) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
