Full Job Description
Join Burgess & Niple as Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and help shape how our firm plans, measures and grows. This newly created role will partner with the CFO and executive leadership to build and lead the firm's FP&A and analytics capabilities from the ground up. You will play an important role in strategic planning and enterprise-decision making, with responsibilities spanning financial planning and analysis, strategic finance, business intelligence, enterprise data governance, performance management, and organizational development. The role provides significant opportunity to influence the firm's long-term growth and develop into broader executive leadership responsibilities as the organization continues to grown

What You'll Do
  • Lead the development and execution of the firm's FP&A function, including annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, performance reporting, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and business planning support related to growth initiatives, capital investments, profitability improvement, pricing strategies, and corporate development opportunities.
  • Develop and oversee enterprise analytics, business intelligence, dashboards, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics that enhance visibility into financial, operational, and strategic performance.
  • Lead the development and implementation of enterprise data governance standards, information management strategies, reporting standards, and data quality initiatives.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing FP&A and Analytics team through recruitment, coaching, succession planning, and organizational leadership.
  • Partner with executive leadership and operational teams to support project profitability, resource planning, forecasting, utilization, backlog management, and overall business performance improvement.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering Management, or related field required. MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced business credential preferred
  • 12+ year of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, business intelligence, analytics, or strategic finance including 5+ years of leadership managing and developing professional teams
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, performance management, and scenario analysis
  • Strong understanding of business performance drivers, profitability analysis, and enterprise decision-making processes
  • Experience developing business intelligence programs, dashboards, reporting frameworks and enterprise analytics capabilities
  • Knowledge of data governance principals, information management strategies, and reporting standards
  • Leadership experience building, developing, and leading high-performing professional teams
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship-building, and executive engagement skills
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational leadership capabilities
