Full Job Description
The Director of Financial Data & Analytics will be a strategic leader driving the company's data and reporting capabilities. This role owns the end-to-end financial and operational data ecosystem, turning complex information into actionable insights, guiding decision-making at the executive level, and leading a high-performing analytics team.

Your Mission:

Data Strategist & Leader: Own the enterprise data ecosystem, from pipelines to executive dashboards, ensuring accurate, scalable, and actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and business growth.

Insight Partner: Translate complex financial and operational data into clear recommendations that influence leadership and cross-functional priorities.

Team Builder & Mentor: Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team of analysts and managers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence Driver: Ensure the integrity of key metrics, automate processes where possible, and scale systems for accuracy and efficiency.

What You'll Do:
  • Own the core data infrastructure: Lead data pipelines into Snowflake and Power BI, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and enterprise-level scalability.
  • Drive strategic analytics & insights: Apply predictive modeling and statistical analysis to inform executive decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead operational & financial metrics: Oversee reporting on KPIs like churn, signed accounts, and performance metrics; partner with underwriting and finance on deal evaluation.
  • Build scalable systems & automation: Design future-proof data models, automate manual processes, and maintain data integrity.
  • Lead a high-performing team: Manage 6+ direct reports across Data Analysts and Managers of Data & Analytics; set priorities, mentor talent, and elevate team capabilities.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to align on metrics, reporting, and business decisions.
What You'll Bring:
  • 10+ years of experience in financial data and analytics or related fields
  • Proven experience managing teams of analysts and managers, and working with enterprise-scale datasets
  • Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with BI tools, particularly Power BI
  • Experience with data warehousing platforms (e.g., Snowflake) and familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts applied to analytics and automation
  • Expertise in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and identifying key drivers of performance and operational efficiency
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a bias toward action

Bonus points: Experience with Salesforce, attribution modeling or SaaS.
