POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Director, Finance Transformation, Systems & Reporting to lead key initiatives to modernize our financial reporting, systems, and business processes.

This is a hands-on, individual-contributor Director role. The position will play a key role in implementing a new general ledger, developing financial reporting from a new operating system, resolving existing reporting issues, and redesigning finance and business processes.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director will work cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Operations, IT, business leaders, system implementation partners, and external consultants. Success will require a strong combination of accounting and financial reporting expertise, systems knowledge and process improvement capabilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Improve the accuracy, timeliness, consistency, and effectiveness of financial and management reporting.
  • Identify and resolve financial reporting, accounting, reconciliation, and process issues.
  • Lead key Finance activities related to implementation of a new general ledger, including requirements, chart of accounts, data mapping, testing, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Serve as the Finance lead for the design and development of financial reporting from the Company's new operating system.
  • Define financial reporting, data, reconciliation, and control requirements for the new operating system.
  • Ensure appropriate integration and reconciliation between the operating system and general ledger.
  • Lead the redesign of finance and related business processes to improve efficiency, controls, data quality, and scalability.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes, duplicate activities, spreadsheets, and unnecessary workarounds.
  • Strengthen month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls, and reporting procedures.
  • Lead cross-functional transformation projects from problem identification through design, testing, implementation, and stabilization.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, IT, system vendors, and consultants to drive successful implementation and adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Provide recommendations and progress updates directly to the CFO and senior management.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Significant experience in accounting, financial reporting, controllership, finance transformation, financial systems or business process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Experience developing financial reporting from operational or business systems.
  • Demonstrated experience redesigning and improving finance and business processes.
  • Ability to understand the flow of operational transactions through accounting systems and ultimately into financial reporting.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate business and Finance requirements into practical system and reporting solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively across Finance, Operations, IT, and senior management.
  • Comfortable operating as a hands-on senior individual contributor.
  • Experience in international health insurance, South American operations and a multi-national organization.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on finance transformation leader to help redesign how Finance operates. You will work directly with the CFO and the CIO to improve financial reporting, implement a new general ledger, develop financial reporting from a new operating system, and redesign critical business processes. This is a Director-level individual-contributor position.
