Job Details

Responsible for the overall financial management of the Kettering Health Medical Group.  Provides leadership, direction and coordination of financial and operational initiatives consistent with organizational mission and objectives. Other duties as assigned.

 

Essential Functions:

 

-Manage the Medical Group finance department analyst team and day to day operations

-Works collaboratively with the Operations team on financial requests and data

-Ensures the financial policies and procedures of the organization comply with GAAP and KH requirements

-Works collaboratively with the contracting team to provide consistent compensation agreements across practices and service lines

-Oversee monthly physician productivity payment processing and submission to payroll

-Develops and oversees financial education/training with new and existing leadership and practices

-Leads out on hiring control committee to manage staffing costs to budget and benchmark

-Responsible for the oversight of accurate, timely and consistent financial statements/reports to KHMG Leadership and practices

-Develops and implements physician compensation models and productivity wRVU schedules

-Develops and present practice financial assessments to KHMG Leadership and Operations monthly

-Provide oversight for the KHMG monthly financial close process including balance sheet and P&L review

-Implements innovative and accessible financial reporting/metrics for practices related to financial and revenue cycle key performance indicators

-Prepare and oversee annual operations budget for over 150 practices and administrative depts.   including volume, revenue, labor, and expense

-Monitor and oversee capital spend to budget

-Develops and presents proforma cost impact analysis to leadership

-Collaborate with operational leaders to review impact of initiatives in preparation for deploying new opportunities.

-Takes a leadership role in any KHMG financial initiative.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Requirement: 

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.   Master’s Degree (MBA) preferred. 

 

5+ years’ experience in a financial leadership position required, and 3 within a medical group or hospital based physician network required.  Must also have experience in managing physician compensation plans, managing physician billing and collections, developing business plans and budget management.  Must also have excellent physician relationship and communication skills.
