How You Will Make an Impact

Frida is seeking a Director of Finance to join our team and be responsible for leading the company's forecasting, planning, reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader, have a strong financial acumen, excellent presentation skills, and a can-do attitude. Working across different departments within the company, the selected candidate will have an opportunity to own projects and initiatives that shape strategy and drive sustainable growth. The Director of Finance will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities to include:

Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Own the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasting cycles, coordinating submissions across all functions
  • Maintain and continuously improve forecasting models, integrating top-down and bottom-up inputs
  • Lead monthly Budget vs. Actual reviews with department heads to ensure effective expense management inter-departmentally
  • Assist in the development of the long-term financial plan including revenue, margin, and cash flow projections

Business Performance Management
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages to senior leadership and the board, including variance analysis and management commentary
  • Develop and track KPIs across P&L, working capital, and operational metrics
  • Identify risks and opportunities versus plan; proactively surface actionable insights

Operational Finance
  • Support gross margin management, including COGS analysis, and cost bridge reporting
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations on demand planning alignment and cost-out initiatives
  • Lead forecasting and budgeting for related P&L line items (e.g. Fulfillment, Sourcing, Supply Chain)
  • Manage Cost Tracking for dissemination to key parties across the Operations functions

Leadership & Process
  • Lead and develop direct report(s), fostering a culture of rigor and continuous improvement, responsible for their development and career planning
  • Partner with Accounting on close processes, ensuring alignment between actuals and forecast
  • Partner with IT to drive automation and reporting efficiency initiatives


What You Will Need
  • Bachelor's degree in economics/finance/accounting or comparable
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Strong people manager and developer of talent
  • Extensive excel and analytical background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which requirements & priorities change

Our Ways of Working

Frida HQ is located in Miami, Florida and approved roles have the flexible option to work remotely both Mondays and Fridays with the benefit of connecting in person Tuesdays - Thursdays.
