Full Job Description
We are hiring a Program Director to supervise and support the staff of the Family Preservation Services (FPS) program and establish positive working relationships with Department of Child Services, Juvenile Justice, legal system, external service providers and community stakeholders. Director will ensure that all program staff receive required and applicable education, training and supervision in accordance with federal, state, contract and accreditation requirements to support the individuals served through Home Based services. Must be willing to travel and flex schedule accordingly, i.e., on call, work evenings and weekends, to provide services, supports, and treatment to individuals as required.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all referrals are responded to in a timely manner per policy.
  • Ensure DCS and Juvenile Justice documentation and reports are completed and submitted in accordance with DCS Standards of Service or Benchmark policy, whichever is more conservative.
  • Responsible for program fiscal management in accordance with all applicable rules, regulations, and policies including but not limited to billing, concrete assistance, credit card charges, etc.
  • Provide home based services consistent with licensure.
  • Facilitate agency wraparound, consultation and CFT meetings as needed.
  • Attend all agency, departmental, and client specific meetings as needed.
  • Complete all documentation of services provided per policy.
  • Assist Team members in case management and therapy functions as needed.
  • Responsible for program staff scheduling, i.e., PTO, LOA, etc., to ensure 24/7/365 availability and that time and attendance records are completed correctly and timely.
  • Ensure all staff complete and maintain required supervision, education and training through orientation, staff meetings, online training, ad hoc education and professional development.
  • Review incident reports in coordination with supervisor, Clinical Manager and Compliance.
  • Responsible for program compliance with all federal, state, contract, accreditation and Benchmark rules and regulations, i.e., HIPAA, DCS Standards of Services, CARF, etc.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with provider agencies, regulatory agencies, payers and community stakeholders through regular individual and program updates, monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Comply with all agency policies and professional standards to assure the health, safety, and confidentiality of all individuals.

Qualifications:

Minimum:
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology or counseling from an accredited college or university; with a minimum of 3 years' experience working with children and families
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience delivering behavioral health clinical services in an outpatient and/or crisis setting
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in behavioral health
  • Certification and ongoing training in crisis de-escalation intervention curriculum, i.e., CPI
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Valid Driver's License and auto insurance
  • Must be computer literate


Preferred:
  • 3 or more years' experience working with individuals with IDD/ASD or behavioral health diagnoses and are experiencing a crisis situation.
  • 3 or more years' experience as a senior level clinical supervisor or administrator of a human services agency, either public or private.
  • Experience working with Department of Child Services and/or Juvenile Justice agencies serving youth and families.
  • Knowledge of and experience accessing community services and resources relevant to social determinants of health
  • 1 year of experience working with and supervising peer specialists in the delivery of mental health and/or substance use treatment services
