To effectively and cost-effectively manage all LISD (and county-wide when directed) facility construction, renovation, and maintenance projects to ensure a safe and healthy environment for learning and teaching. Provide effective leadership and direction to custodial and maintenance staff to ensure district compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and a safe, conducive teaching/learning environment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required: - Associate's Degree related to Facilities Management (or other equivalent qualification/certification)
- MSBO Certification as a Facilities Director or able to obtain within two years of hire
- Ten (10) Years of Successful Work in Related Field
- Five (5) years of Supervisory experience
- Demonstrated computer and Technical Experience
- Effective Written and Oral Communication Skills
- Effective Human Relations Skills
Preferred: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering/or Facilities Administration
- Experience in Total Quality Management Administration
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS - MSBO Certification as a Facilities Director or able to obtain within two years of hire
- Integrated Pest Management (IPM) State Certification
- Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Certification - State/Federal
- Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Level S-5 Certified Operator for Type II Drinking Water System
