Position Overview: The Director, Events is responsible for directing event operations, event expense estimates, and cost sheets. Additionally this role is also responsible for personnel management, event-related staff, and event-related vendors for Monumental Sports & Entertainment at EagleBank Arena.   • Oversee and collaborate on all aspects pre-event production management.
  • Serve as senior manager responsible for guest services, event management and parking.
  • Oversee staffing and payroll for part-time FOH event staff and event security vendor.
  • Lead all aspects of FOH event and security staffing costs, invoices, approvals, collection, etc.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures that are consistent with arena and company policies.
  • Maintain and publish weekly and monthly event update calendars for internal users.
  • Coordinate and handle all invoicing for CFA events and ICA sport floor requirements.
  • Oversee cost summaries and drop count records and filing.
  • Support and coordinate scheduling of overnight university security vendor.
  • Order and maintain inventory of FOH event supplies.
  • Prepare comprehensive analysis and recommendations for annual department expenditures.
  • Review and update FOH Event Staff Handbook and training manuals annually. organize and oversee annual FOH event training.
  • Act as senior liaison representative with ICA on all basketball/sport events, competitions, and Green Machine Pep Band related matters and as office telecom liaison and primary contact with vendors and GMU IT Department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of combined experience/education in related areas.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, CAD, and Excel.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay Range: $95k - $105k USD. Benefit Eligibility: This role is eligible to participate in health and welfare benefits.
