Summary:
The Director, Data and Analytics Products oversees the development, implementation, and lifecycle of enterprise data and analytics products. This role is accountable for investments in innovation and AI in data, ensuring data security and compliance, and enabling clinical and operational teams with robust, scalable data solutions to improve patient care and outcomes. This position includes direct leadership of functional enterprise teams (analytics and data engineers), dotted line leadership to data governance and other analyst teams, stakeholder management, and vendor management.
Responsibilities:
* Create and align an enterprise-wide data product delivery strategy to the organization's strategic vision and business goals.
* Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and cloud-based data and analytics products that accelerate speed to delivery and empower operational leaders in decision-making.
* Evaluate current state and implement strategies to retire legacy data products and incorporate into modern/emerging technologies in the new cloud data platform.
* Define a vendor-first (e.g. Epic, Infor) product portfolio roadmap and value proposition and manage the execution of the roadmap.
* Serve as liaison between the business and technology functions for data-related requirements.
* Operate data as a product and deliver measurable outcomes, translate platform capabilities into data products (e.g. command center feeds, business-friendly data models, RPM integrations, throughput analytics) that improve KPIs such as length of stay, throughput, and OR utilization.
* Promote a data-as-a-product mindset and product management discipline, enabling reusable, governed data products with lifecycle management, SLAs, and consumer-oriented packaging.
How You'll Be Successful:
WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 10 years' experience in data architecture, data development, data warehousing, data analytics, data lakes, data platform, or related field with at least 1 year in cloud environments required.
* At least 2 years' proven leadership experience managing technical teams and driving large-scale data initiatives required.
* Experience managing agile teams across product lines preferred.
* Experience managing data, analytics and supporting teams in the healthcare and life sciences industry preferred.
EDUCATION
* Four-year bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field or equivalent experience required.
* Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Data Architect certification (e.g., SnowPro Advanced Architect, Microsoft Azure Data Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Data Engineer, healthcare IT certifications). -Time Frame: 180 days required.
