About the Role

The Delivery Lead for Workday Financials drives the deployment, adoption, and scaling of Workday's embedded AI, machine learning (ML), and agentic ecosystems. This role bridges the gap between financial transformation strategy and hands-on technological execution. You will lead cross-functional teams to automate traditional accounting workflows, deploy predictive financial forecasting tools, and architect custom AI solutions on the Workday platform. The ideal candidate will transform the finance function from a transactional hub into an autonomous, data-driven engine.

About You

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy Agentic Finance: Lead the end-to-end implementation of Workday's native AI agents and conversational interfaces to automate end-to-end finance processes.
  • Scale Intelligent Automation: Architect scalable workflows using Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR) to ingest, categorize, and process unstructured contracts, invoices, and expense data.
  • Serve as a Workday Financials subject matter expert, spanning design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Facilitate design workshops and solution discussions, translating business requirements into scalable Workday solutions aligned to best practices.
  • Drive the technical solution design and integration strategy, ensuring seamless connectivity between Workday and external systems.
  • Identify and manage dependencies across functional and technical workstreams.
  • Lead, mentor, and oversee consultants and analysts, ensuring high-quality delivery and knowledge development.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Well versed in designing custom solutions leveraging broader technology stack ( Integration middlewares, AI platforms , data platforms) around workday platform to enable seamless integration
  • Perform hands-on configuration and technical activities, including:
    • Business process and security configuration
    • Data loads (EIBs, iLoads)
    • Integration development and deployment
    • Tenant migration activities
  • Communicate progress, risks, and updates clearly to project teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Reinforce company policies, delivery standards, and best practices.
  • Encourages a culture of team-driven decision making and commitment where appropriate, coaches the teams to improve collaboration and outcomes


Basic Qualifications
  • Workday Expertise: Minimum 12 years experience leading complex, large-scale Workday Financials implementations (Close & Consolidation, Tax, Procurement, etc.), with full-lifecycle experience - from planning through go-live - on 5 or more implementations
  • Integrated Finance Ecosystem Design: Demonstrated experience integrating Workday with 3 or more third-party systems (e.g., payroll providers, banks, CRM, or other enterprise platforms) across at least 2 completed projects
  • Systems Implementation Lifecycle: Documented experience defining systems strategy, gathering requirements, designing/prototyping, testing, training, and establishing support procedures across 5 or more full-cycle implementations delivered on concurrent deadlines
  • AI/ML Deployment Track Record: Successful deployment of 2 or more automation tools, machine learning workflows, or AI-agent solutions within an ERP landscape, with measurable efficiency or accuracy gains
  • Data Strategy Certification/Experience: Verifiable experience structuring financial data models, accounting dimensions, and data hygiene standards used to train AI models on at least 1 enterprise-scale initiative

Other Qualifications
  • Consistent track record leading complex, multi-functional technical initiatives in fast-paced environments
  • Deep mastery of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies to run sprint cycles
  • Exceptional ability to translate technical AI/engineering concepts into business value for finance executives and other non-technical stakeholders
  • Active Workday certification, or commitment to achieve required accreditation upon hire

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
