This role leads the ECP (Sales-facing) marketing vertical and a team of seasoned marketers, while playing a central role in aligning strategy, execution, and culture across a highly integrated, multi-vertical marketing organization.

While this role has direct ownership of ECP strategy and execution, its impact extends beyond a single vertical. This leader acts as both an advocate for the ECP vertical and a steward of the broader brand ecosystem, ensuring insights, priorities, and messaging are consistently shared and aligned with Consumer Marketing and Peer-to-Peer Marketing partners.

This individual will thrive in a changing environment-bringing clarity, momentum, and focus-while demonstrating disciplined budget stewardship, strong cross-functional leadership, and a commitment to developing people and culture.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Marketing Execution & Creative Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end marketing execution for the ECP vertical, balancing strategic rigor with speed.
  • Set clear strategic direction for creative development and maintain a high bar for clarity, relevance, and consistency.
  • Oversee major campaigns, sales enablement initiatives, and conference strategy as critical brand and commercial moments.
  • Partner closely with the Agency of Record to deliver impactful, insight-led work.

Enterprise & Cross-Vertical Partnership
  • Act as both an advocate for the ECP vertical and a steward of the broader brand ecosystem, ensuring ECP strategies and insights inform and strengthen Consumer and Peer-to-Peer Marketing.
  • Operate with an enterprise-first mindset within a three-vertical marketing structure.
  • Proactively communicate priorities, messaging shifts, performance learnings, and timelines to partner teams.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Analytics, and Commercial Operations.
  • Influence without authority by grounding recommendations in insight, strategy, and customer need.

Brand & Segmentation Strategy
  • Own and evolve the brand strategy for the Eye Care Professional audience, grounded in deep customer understanding and insight.
  • Lead segmentation strategy, clearly defining and prioritizing ECP customer segments to drive relevance across messaging, campaigns, conferences, and experiences.
  • Translate business objectives and insights into clear, actionable strategies that guide execution across channels and touchpoints.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to Sales leadership and enterprise stakeholders.

Budget Ownership & Investment Stewardship
  • Own and manage the ECP marketing budget across all major areas, including Agency of Record spend, conference and event investment, staffing resources, and program execution.
  • Ensure proactive planning, tracking, and optimization of spend to deliver strong return on investment.
  • Make disciplined trade-offs across priorities while maintaining flexibility in a changing environment.
  • Partner with Finance and cross-functional leaders to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment to business objectives.

Medical, Regulatory & Legal Partnership (PRC Leadership)
  • Support the continuous evolution and emboldening of ECP messaging through strong partnership with Medical, Regulatory, and Legal teams.
  • Attend and actively participate in PRC (Promotional Review Committee) meetings to advocate for strategic intent, customer relevance, and brand clarity.
  • Guide and support team members through the PRC process, helping navigate feedback, resolve challenges, and move work forward efficiently.
  • Balance compliance requirements with the need for impactful, differentiated, and on-strategy messaging.

Team Leadership, Culture & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of experienced marketers.
  • Foster a culture of growth, collaboration, accountability, and psychological safety.
  • Provide clear direction, strong prioritization, and ongoing feedback to support performance and development.
  • Model inclusive, empathetic leadership and a commitment to teamwork during periods of change.
