About the RoleThe Director, eCare Development will play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and evolution of the organization's care management platform. This hands-on leadership position is responsible for the overall technical health, scalability, and performance of the eCare system. The Director, eCare Development will lead cross-functional application development teams to implement new functionality, system enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives that improve care delivery for our members. The Director, eCare Development ensures projects meet regulatory compliance standards, align with organizational objectives, and are delivered on time and within budget. Ultimately, this role is key in advancing our mission to provide exceptional services through cutting-edge technology. This position requires strong technical expertise combined with proven people management skills to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in application development.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive software development experience with at least three years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing software development projects from conception through deployment, including lead and mentor development teams.
- Strong technical proficiency in modern development languages such as C#, SQL, Angular, etc. and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and software development lifecycle management.
- Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
- Experience developing cloud-based applications with background in healthcare technology, digital health, or member-facing applications.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements including HIPAA compliance and data security standards.
- Experience with DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of API development, microservices architecture, and modern web technologies.

- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes across the development team.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews, providing technical guidance and ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Manage resource allocation, sprint planning, and prioritization of development work across multiple projects.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and development tools to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
