Job Description:

E2E Planning Director

The Director, E2E Planning role is the operational and strategic leader of the planning function for a Marketing Cell. The purpose of the role is to lead the Supply Chain to optimal cost, cash and service performance by relentlessly driving a robust demand planning process, an effective supply planning process and an integrated set of planning tools. The role also requires the management and development of a high caliber and high functioning planning team that spans both S&EO and S&OP timeframes.

This role is responsible for all aspects of the development, maintenance and execution of the Network Planning process. As owner of the S&OP Step 2 and 3 processes and meetings, the core purpose of this position is to influence stakeholders and participants to maintain discipline and alignment to roles and responsibilities within the execution of the process. The role is specifically responsible for clarifying ambiguity in the process, developing approaches to unprecedented or unplanned situations, addressing inconsistent treatment across segments, identification of biases and delivering both an unconstrained demand forecast and constrained supply plan with supporting, quantified, risks and opportunities.

What are we looking for?
  • Minimum of a bachelor's in supply chain management, science and/or engineering. Master or advanced degree (sciences or business) preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of supply chain experience for a global or multi-plant consumer packaged goods company/industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams in Manufacturing, Planning, Industrial Engineering or Customer Service.
  • Experience with ERP and Advanced Planning Systems (preferably JDA, E2open or RapidResponse)
  • Experience in developing and implementing supply chain planning processes and managing them through deployment of an APS system
  • Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking, influence, negotiation, problem solving, indirect influence and strategic thinking.
  • Up to 20% travel is required


What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Thorough understanding of S&OP process specifically Steps 2-3 for which they will be process owners
  • Ownership of planning handoffs and weekly adjustments to manufacturing sites through execution planning process
  • Lead Step 2-3 meetings for responsible Marketing Cell
  • Advanced numerical, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced ability to synthesize and filter inputs from multiple sources to key on the most important influences which will impact both future demand and supply
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain from supplier to customer
  • Advanced ability to identify logical or methodological inconsistency
  • Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking, influence, negotiation, problem solving, and strategic thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to influence areas not under direct control to achieve objectives and effectively communicate challenging goals and objectives
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and build strong relationships by being transparent, reliable, and delivering on commitments
  • Ability to provide innovative ideas to optimize supply chain and generate new ideas or alternatives that create value
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills and have the ability to deal effectively with all levels of management


The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
