Job Overview:

Universal Nutrition is on the hunt for a highly experienced Director, E-Commerce to lead our content strategy and execution across all e-commerce platforms for our flagship brand, ANIMAL. We're looking for someone with extensive experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) space, who has a proven track record of driving content initiatives that build brands, create buzz, and resonate deeply with audiences. You'll be responsible for not only creating content but shaping how ANIMAL connects with both hardcore athletes and new audiences as we scale. This role is ideal for someone who can bring deep industry expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for fitness and nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Content Strategy: Own the full content strategy across all channels, ensuring it aligns with ANIMAL's overarching business objectives, including expanding our audience while maintaining the integrity of the brand. You'll design a roadmap for how content can drive consumer loyalty, brand equity, and sales.
  • Creative Vision & Brand Storytelling: Elevate ANIMAL's brand narrative, ensuring it reflects our legacy while also appealing to a broader fitness community. Craft compelling stories that engage both our core audience of hardcore athletes and new consumers just discovering the brand.
  • Campaign Leadership: Work alongside the brand, creative, and product teams to spearhead large-scale campaigns, including new product launches, key brand moments, and quarterly tent pole events. You'll ensure content seamlessly integrates with our broader marketing initiatives.
  • Cross-Channel Execution: Create and oversee the execution of platform-specific content strategies (social, web, email, retail, etc.), ensuring consistency in messaging and tone. You'll be responsible for crafting content that maximizes engagement, conversions, and brand awareness.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Guide junior content creators and collaborate closely with athletes, ambassadors, influencers, and external partners. Your ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure alignment on messaging will be critical.
  • Data-Driven Insights & Optimization: Utilize data to inform content decisions and adjust strategies in real time. Track and report on content performance, making recommendations to optimize future campaigns based on insights and market trends.

Pay Range: $150,000 - $190,000 per hour
