We are seeking a Director, Network Architecture with deep expertise in network engineering, wireless architecture, and infrastructure operations to support mission-critical, high-visibility environments.
This hands-on leadership role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting highly available wired and wireless network infrastructure across large-scale events, corporate offices, and dynamic production environments. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in wireless design, DAS architecture, spectrum analysis, and enterprise Cisco networking.
This role requires a blend of technical leadership, hands-on engineering, operational support, and cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced environments. This onsite position is based in Manhattan or Mount Laurel, NJ and requires 30-50% domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of network services with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and high availability
- Develop and maintain network architecture standards and wireless best practices
- Create and present network design proposals and technical documentation
- Evaluate and support adoption of emerging networking and wireless technologies
- Provide hands-on configuration, deployment, and escalation support for network and wireless infrastructure
- Install, operate, and maintain wired and wireless networks across enterprise and event environments
- Support on-site technical teams during live events and critical operations
- Maintain network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and training materials
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, operations, and business teams
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and ensure timely resolution
- Monitor network performance and report on KPIs, capacity, and system health
- Support project delivery and adherence to timelines
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Maintain DAS and wireless standards and documentation
- Conduct network performance assessments and coverage analysis
- Coordinate with vendors on enhancements, testing, and optimization
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in network engineering, implementation, and lifecycle management
- 5+ years in network architecture or technical leadership roles
- 5+ years of experience in wireless design, implementation, spectrum analysis, and DAS architecture
- Strong Cisco networking expertise (controllers, access points, routers, switches)
- Advanced knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, STP, NAT, IPSEC, GRE, VPC/VSS)
- Advanced routing and switching experience (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VTP, Spanning Tree)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA Center, Wireshark, and wireless optimization
- Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent)
- Experience troubleshooting voice, video, and wireless performance issues
- Experience supporting large-scale live or high-demand environments
Compensation: $185,000-$215,000 annuallySalary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
