Job Summary: The Director of Distributed Fulfillment plans, directs and controls the activities of all nodes of the Omaha Steaks Distributed Fulfillment Model, Logistics, Inventory, Replenishment, Stores Inventory, Forward Distribution and Dry Goods to obtain optimum efficiencies and meet business demands. In conjunction with the Vice President & Chief Logistics Officer, develops Distributed Fulfillment strategy and drives company directives along with developing programs and procedures designed to increase productivity and minimize cost. Remains current on industry trends in all assigned areas and is responsible for physical warehouse facility. Interacts with all levels of management to improve quality and service level.

Essential job duties include but are not limited to:

• Directs and controls the operations of reporting departments. Makes appropriate decisions concerning departmental functioning and reviews/approves decisions made by management personnel. Plans and conducts management meetings.
• Coordinates all interdepartmental communication with respect to the fulfillment of customer orders to increase cost efficiency and deliver a high level of customer service.
• Researches new developments related to distribution, logistics and warehousing. Makes recommendations on equipment and processes that reduce costs and meet business growth. Participates in committee assignments and conducts planning for future business strategies. Develops capital expense budgets for the division.
• Researches and makes recommendations on forward distribution facilities and processes that will improve efficiencies and service levels and reduce costs.
• Oversees supply chain functions. Manages scheduling, forecasting, materials planning and procurement of inventory to maintain budgeted inventory turns and fill rates.
• Coordinates and approves budgets for assigned areas. Conducts reviews of budgets and actual financial results. Reports on budget variances.
• Interviews and hires; trains, schedules and counsels; performs any necessary disciplinary actions; conducts performance appraisals and prepares salary recommendations for subordinate management personnel, reviews performance appraisals and approves salary adjustments for departmental personnel.
• Oversees the efficiency and effectiveness of all Distribution departments and the "I" Street Warehouse
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 4- year college degree or equivalent
• 8-10 years in fulfillment, distribution, warehousing and logistics
• High degree of independent judgment and decision-making required.
• Ability to plan, organize and direct work for all areas managed.
• Excellent and effective communication skills.
• Accurate budgeting and forecasting
