Director, Digital Commerce Growth & Customer Strategy

Location: Hybrid - Providence / Boston Area

Lead Digital Commerce Growth, Marketplace Expansion, and Customer-Led Innovation

This is not a traditional customer service leadership role. We are looking for a growth-minded operator with a proven track record of owning business outcomes, driving marketplace and eCommerce performance, and transforming customer insights into scalable revenue-generating initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings experience leading growth within Amazon Marketplace, eCommerce, digital commerce, retail, or similar customer-centric businesses and thrives at the intersection of revenue growth, customer strategy, and innovation.

This role will partner closely with executive leadership to shape the future of our digital commerce business while delivering measurable impact on revenue, profitability, customer retention, and long-term growth.

What You'll Own

Digital Commerce & Marketplace Growth
  • Lead strategy and performance across Amazon Marketplace and other digital commerce channels
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, customer acquisition, and market expansion
  • Identify and execute opportunities to grow market share and unlock new sales channels
  • Develop business cases and strategic plans for marketplace and eCommerce growth initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to accelerate growth

Revenue Growth & Commercial Strategy
  • Own strategic initiatives focused on driving incremental revenue and long-term business value
  • Identify customer needs and market opportunities that can be transformed into scalable products, services, or solutions
  • Optimize customer lifetime value (CLV), retention, conversion, and overall commercial performance
  • Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, Product, and Operations teams to prioritize and execute growth opportunities
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure business impact and guide decision-making

Customer Experience Strategy
  • Lead end-to-end customer experience strategy across digital channels and touchpoints
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement, loyalty, and long-term retention
  • Develop initiatives that reduce friction and improve the customer journey while driving business growth
  • Ensure customer experience investments align directly with commercial objectives

Voice of Customer & Customer Insights
  • Lead Voice of Customer (VOC) and customer insight programs
  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative customer data to identify growth opportunities
  • Translate customer feedback, behavioral data, and market trends into actionable business strategies
  • Build measurement frameworks that connect customer experience improvements to revenue outcomes

Customer-Led Innovation & Service Expansion
  • Identify opportunities to scale customer-facing services into repeatable, revenue-driving programs
  • Develop and expand innovative customer engagement offerings, including design support, digital consultations, and other value-added services
  • Partner cross-functionally to create differentiated customer experiences that strengthen competitive advantage
  • Launch initiatives that improve both customer outcomes and business performance

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in Digital Commerce, eCommerce, Marketplace Management, Growth Strategy, Commercial Strategy, or related leadership roles
  • Proven success owning business performance, marketplace growth, revenue expansion, or digital commerce outcomes
  • Strong experience with Amazon Marketplace or other large-scale digital commerce platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and customer retention
  • Experience identifying, launching, or scaling customer-facing products, services, or commercial programs
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging customer insights, VOC, and data to drive strategic decisions
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Marketing, Product, Operations, Merchandising, and Commercial teams
  • Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000 annually, plus bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits package.
