Full Job Description
The Director, Demand Gen plays a critical role in keeping Klue's go-to-market engine running. Our goal is to make sure marketing's work reliably turns into pipeline, and this role is how that happens. You'll work with the VP, Sales & Marketing to bridge the gap between what marketing produces and what sales needs to close deals. From campaigns and events to SDR targeting and marketing ops support, you're the connective tissue that turns marketing activity into qualified pipeline. This is a role for someone who builds the campaign rather than delegates it, and who thinks in terms of pipeline and conversion, not just activity. You'll balance hands-on execution with the judgment to know where demand gen and SDR need to move together. What's In It for You You'll have real ownership over how Klue generates and converts demand. This isn't a support role, it's an operating one. You'll run campaigns end to end, shape how Klue shows up at events and in community, and directly influence how the SDR team spends its time. You'll develop deep fluency across demand gen, SDR strategy, and marketing operations, with access to real pipeline data to guide where you invest. What You'll Do • Own Demand Gen Campaigns, Concept to Launch. Set up and manage campaigns across email, paid, and webinars, developing the concepts and partnering with content and design on the creative behind them. You project manage every campaign so nothing slips, then report on performance and adjust based on what's working. • Make Sure Klue Shows Up, In Person and Virtually. Plan and execute Klue's full event calendar: keynotes, sponsorships, booths, gifting, and the follow-up campaigns after. You run our own events, build community and create partnership programs, and coordinate every moving piece so nothing falls through. • Direct the SDR Function. Own the SDR Manager relationship and set the strategy behind it: quarterly focus areas, target segments, talk tracks, SPIFFs, and budget. You partner on hiring, coaching, and performance, and review pipeline results to keep adjusting the strategy. • Give Marketing Ops Day-to-Day Leadership. Help prioritize workload against the broader demand gen calendar and build the systems and processes that keep SDR workflows efficient. You partner with RevOps on the bigger systems projects that keep our operational engine running. • Develop AI Workflows. Change how demand gen actually operates day to day, not just as a layer on top of it. What Success Looks Like We want you to love the role you're in and believe these are the things that matter most. • Increased Pipeline Generation. Steady increase in the number of qualified sales opportunities- generated month-over-month. • Sales Pipeline Contribution. Direct impact on the sales pipeline with measurable growth in deal closures attributed to marketing initiatives. • ROI on Marketing Spend. Achieve and exceed set ROI targets for various marketing campaigns and channels. • Team Performance and Growth. Development of team skills and capabilities, with improved team satisfaction and performance metrics. • Event Impact. Successful execution of events as measured by lead generation, customer engagement, and contribution to overall revenue. What You Bring Must Haves • Experience running multi-channel B2B SaaS demand gen campaigns end to end. • Experience coordinating with sales or SDR teams on targeting, messaging, and talk tracks. • Experience planning and running events, in-person and virtual. • Comfortable operating with a lean team and limited budget, finding scope through better processes rather than more headcount. • Some experience managing or closely overseeing another person's work. Nice-to-Haves • Experience managing an SDR manager or another sales-adjacent function directly. • Experience building community or creator partnership programs. • You've operated through a budget cut or team downsizing before, and know what that actually takes. Not ticking every box? That's okay. We take potential into consideration. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of the specifics listed above. If you know you have what it takes, even if that's different from what we've described, be sure to explain why in your application.
