Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for Director Data AI Platforms, Data Semantic Layer, and MDM.

Purpose:

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to assume the role of Director Data AI Platforms, Data Semantic Layer, and MDM for all therapeutic areas. This individual will lead and coordinate activities related to the consumption and transformation of Data AI Platforms, Data Semantic Layer, and MDM to support ongoing downstream applications such as multiple AI Initiatives, AI Semantic Layer, AI Context Layer, CRM initiatives, incentive compensation, field reporting, analytics, marketing, and forecasting.

This individual governs all Data Platform business process rules and provides regular communications regarding status of data platform, data semantic layer, Data Quality tools, and MDM. They will collaborate with data vendors and agencies on data platforms, onboarding and contracting and ensuring value for data-related investments. Functioning as a subject matter authority, they will support ad hoc, data-centric business questions, and will partner with IT and business partners within the StAT (Strategy, Analytics and Transformation) team to proactively resolve data platforms issues and support large, complex data and AI initiatives.

This person will also develop, implement, and maintain Data Platforms & Systems Strategy, Data Semantic Layer governance, MDM governance, and Data Quality. Lead multiple teams including Data AI Platforms/One Data Platform Team, Master Data Management / Customer 360 team, Marketing Data team, Data Quality Team, etc.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead the all Data AI Platforms initiatives. Create Data AI Platforms strategy. Implement and improve current Data Platforms and Data products. Create new Data Products.

  • Create and support Data Semantic Layer, provide data to all AI initiatives

  • Lead Data Quality initiatives and Data Quality Platforms.

  • Lead MDM Master Data Management initiative and Customer Data Master.

  • Lead multiple teams including Data AI Platforms/One Data Platform Team, Master Data Management / Customer 360 team, Marketing Data team, Data Quality Team, etc.

  • Act as “go to” key contact within the StAT organization for data platforms, data semantic layer, and MDM related needs, queries, and issues.

  • Lead the data platforms governance.

  • Lead MDM governance.

  • Lead data quality governance.

  • Lead data semantic layer governance.

  • Lead data platforms on-boarding /change management/ issue resolution/ data integration projects - build project plans, perform validation and organizational change activities.

  • Lead data platforms-centric projects to resolution, through resource management, execution, and communication (e.g. data onboarding, data events/disruptions).

  • Collaborate with internal business partners on data platforms validation and data coordination activities for both field-based (incentive compensation) internal reports/systems (sales forecasting).

  • Engage business process owners to align on the action plan on the mitigation of data events/changes on various commercial operations processes (e.g., Incentive Compensation, Sales Forecasting etc.)

  • Responsible for leading annual data platforms budgets for assigned portfolio, build POs and collaborate with finance, procurement and business owners on supervising spend.

  • Maintain inventory of data platforms and products and promote organizational awareness of application of data in relevant use cases.

  • Participate in the evaluation of new data platforms that may provide new insights, competitive advantage and help advise future data strategy.

  • Ensure that vendors align with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by ensuring data quality, timely delivery, errors reported, time to resolution to data inquiries, account services etc.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Validated experience of 15+ years in roles related to data platforms, AI, MDM, analytics, insights or other commercial excellence areas within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent in AI, Math, Business, Technology, Data, Physics, Analytics or Health Sciences is required. A master’s degree or equivalent experience is an asset.

  • Advanced knowledge of data AI platforms/products and expertise in using pharma industry syndicated/secondary data from leading vendors- IQVIA, Komodo, Symphony, SPP, patient claims, RWE/HEOR, IDN/ACO Affiliations.

  • Previous experience in establishing and leading data platforms and partnerships with external vendors.

  • Strong grasp of data platforms, data analytics, AI, and machine learning concepts and their application to business operations.

  • Knowledge of data querying/business intelligence tools and systems that allow for effective management of large data sets is required.

  • Proficient in data sources/products and expertise in using Pharma industry syndicated/secondary data from leading vendors - IQVIA, Symphony Health, Veeva, Definitive Healthcare, American Hospital Association (AHA), American Medical Association (AMA), Specialty Pharmacy, etc.

  • Preferred experience utilizing MDM tools sets such as Informatica, Reltio and the appropriate use and application within an MDM solution.

  • Strong analytical toolkit is required, including modern business intelligence tools and infrastructure that allow for effective management of large data, as is proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

  • Preferred experience in Tableau and/or PowerBI.

  • Proven results as a project manager in cross-functional technology projects required.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and business and data analysis with focus on MDM operational processes that cross multiple therapeutic areas.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, including ability to simplify complex technical issues.

  • Customer focus with building relationships, issue identification and resolution, problem-solving and project management skills.

  • Detail-oriented and results-driven.

  • Ability to apply policies and standards consistently.

  • Understanding of data platforms governance standard methodologies, and strong understanding of data lifecycle, data quality, metadata, and data management.

  • Critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities based on meticulous data analysis and interpretation.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate optimally across cross-functional teams and work well with senior leadership.

  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and industry-specific compliance.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $150,000 to $258,750 USD.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
