Description:

Position Summary:

This Director position will be overseeing all of the Critical Care Units at Mount Carmel East to include the Cardiac ICU, Medical ICU, Neuro ICU and Surgical Trauma ICU as well as the Intermediate Care Units to include the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, Neuro Intermediate Care Unit and the Surgical Intermediate Care Unit.  Respiratory Therapy and Rapid Response Team.

What the Director of Critical Care will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN Required
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
  • Master's in Nursing, Healthcare, Business or Related Field Required.
  • Prior ICU nursing and/or Leadership Experience Preferred.
  • Prior Director and Change Management Experience Preferred.

What the Director of Critical Care will do:

  • Drive Evidence-Based/Best Practice
  • Work collaboratively with physicians/surgeons/pulmonologists for cardiac, medical and surgical care services.
  • Develop and support nursing services leadership
  • Oversight of all Intensive Care Units
  • Develop strategy and implementation plan for positive patient experience and colleague engagement
  • Operationalize organizational initiatives and present to front line
  • Succession planning
  • Ensure efficient operation within productivity measures while staying current with changing dynamics
  • Align with other system leadership to develop strong working relationships
  • Work with senior leadership
