Job Summary:

The Director of Credit and Asset Management will oversee a growing portfolio of complex commercial real estate debt investments, including construction, renovation, capital improvement, leasing, and transitional/value-add assets across major U.S. markets. This client-facing role manages loan administration, interest billing and collections, cash waterfalls, draw administration, covenant compliance, asset performance analysis, and client reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze complex loan documents to ensure accurate implementation of asset-level terms.
  • Partner with internal teams to support accurate asset servicing and timely
  • Oversee draw administration for construction, leasing, and capital expenditures in accordance with credit documents.
  • Manage funding processes with lenders, syndicates, co-lenders, and other financial parties.
  • Use technology platforms to monitor property, borrower, asset, and portfolio performance.
  • Review borrower financial statements and required monthly reporting.
  • Review annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Assess operating property performance through rent rolls, operating statements, and collections
  • Prepare and review CLO reporting, including operating statement analyses and watchlists.
  • Verify cash management distributions align with approved waterfall structures.
  • Monitor covenant compliance, including debt yield, loan-to-value, and debt service coverage requirements.
  • Maintain monthly asset reports and quarterly performance analyses.
  • Coordinate with tax and insurance teams to manage coverage, payments, and escrow obligations.
  • Mentor financial analysts and support professional development.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related
  • 7+ years of experience in asset-based finance or structured credit with an asset management firm, private equity firm, lender, owner/operator, servicer, rating agency, investment bank, or broker preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience evaluating quantitative and qualitative information
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and engage with
  • Able to manage competing deadlines in a collaborative, dynamic environment
