Job DescriptionThe Director, Corporate Accounts (Siding & Accessories Business Unit) is a key commercial leadership role responsible for leading the Strategic Account Management team and driving profitable growth across some of the organization's most important distribution partnerships. This leader will shape account strategy, strengthen executive-level customer relationships, and ensure commercial priorities translate into effective execution across regional, district, and branch levels.
Working closely with Sales, Pricing, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Service, the Director will identify opportunities to expand market share, improve account profitability, and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop the Strategic Account Management team, establishing clear priorities, performance expectations, and accountability for profitable sales growth and market share expansion.
- Develop and execute the overall strategy for key distribution accounts, aligning customer opportunities with broader commercial and business objectives.
- Guide the development of comprehensive strategic account plans that identify growth opportunities, profitability objectives, product priorities, competitive risks, and key execution requirements.
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with strategic customers, serving as a trusted business partner and senior point of contact for key opportunities and challenges.
- Provide leadership for major customer negotiations, corporate agreements, pricing strategies, business reviews, and other high-impact commercial decisions.
- Partner closely with field sales leadership to translate corporate account strategies into actionable plans at the regional, district, and branch levels.
- Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships, increase product penetration, strengthen market position, and create sustainable, mutually beneficial growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Pricing, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Service to develop solutions, address customer needs, and successfully execute strategic initiatives.
- Leverage customer insights, financial performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence to identify risks and opportunities and inform account strategy.
- Monitor account performance and key business metrics, holding the team accountable for customer commitments, KPIs, profitability, and growth objectives.
- Champion a customer-focused, performance-driven culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Strategic Account Management organization.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field required.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in sales, strategic account management, commercial leadership, or a related discipline, including experience leading and developing teams.
- Demonstrated success managing large, complex, multi-location or distribution-based customer relationships and delivering profitable revenue growth.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic account plans that translate business opportunities into measurable commercial results.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to evaluate pricing, profitability, market dynamics, and customer opportunities.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills with experience influencing senior-level internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and work effectively across multiple functions and levels of an organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and executive-level relationship-building skills.
- Building materials, manufacturing, construction products, or distribution industry experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel by air and car as required to support customers, business reviews, and team priorities.
Additional InformationThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 - $200,000 + bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
