Responsibilities

About the role

The Director of Contracts is a member of the Easy Dynamics leadership team who manages a diverse portfolio of IDIQ contracts, task orders, and compliance needs while partnering with the rest of the leadership team to align on the strategic direction of the organization, its practices and its portfolio. The Director's responsibility includes participation in front-end discussions of new business pursuits, opportunity assessment, competitive and sole source capture and proposal strategy, contract negotiation, contract management of IDIQ vehicles, subcontract management, and proposal development support. The Director of Contracts is the primary interface with federal customers for contracting matters and is responsible for establishing trusted and purposeful relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers while ensuring successful governance with company policies and guidelines.

The Director of Contracts partners closely with Business Development, Finance, and Delivery teams for the review and negotiation of contracts to commercial and government clients. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring Easy Dynamics remains compliant with its contractual, statutory and regulatory obligations under various contracts (e.g. General Services Administration (GSA) Schedules, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity and Blanket Purchase Agreements, etc.). Manages cradle-to-grave contract administration with the support of a Contracts Manager.

The successful candidate should have experience participating in a management or leadership team of professionals with responsibilities that span functional areas that may range from Finance to Business Development to Delivery and beyond. (S)he must be able to collaborate on what it would take to get to a desired solution or outcome by leaning into professional experience and business acumen to help the team understand risks, opportunities and potential gaps for further evaluation.

What you'll do

  • Manage Easy Dynamics' commercial and public sector contracts and contractual relationships with commercial, GSA, and other public sector clients.
  • Read, analyze, assess, and communicate guidance on RFQs/RFPs, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and Contract Agreements.
  • Review, negotiate as needed, and ultimately sign Contracts, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and Modifications.
  • Update and manage public sector Representations & Certifications and Certificates of Insurance.
  • Conduct "issue-specific" and "new hire" training for Easy Dynamics personnel.
  • Develop acquisition-related policy and procedures and compliance programs as needed.
  • Upon request of Account Leadership, discuss acquisition solutions and/or resolve and explain issues with clients.
  • Provide strategic insight and contractual guidance on commercial and public sector contracting issues, including RFQs, RFPs, and other forms of solicitations for services.
  • Engage directly in collaborative work as responses are prepared for the government, demonstrating expertise throughout the process and advising on options, challenges, risks, and potential solutions.
  • Review pricing for contract compliance.
  • Propose problem resolution to support Easy Dynamics in resolving various contractual and business issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide contract administration for GSA MAS, GWAC, and IDIQ contracts, including contract modifications, Economic Price Adjustments, IFF payments, Transactional Data Reporting (TDR), GSA Contractor Assistance Visits, GSA Audits, and compliance monitoring.
  • Prepare and communicate internal/external reporting requirements and support the Easy Dynamics EasyContracts repository.
  • Provide Easy Dynamics teams with information from US Federal Government electronic databases (e.g., e-Buy, GSA ASSIST, SAM, CPARS, FedConnect, DoD PIEE, etc.).
  • Assist with ancillary information requests related to contractual and business matters.
  • Provide career counseling and direction to direct reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of applicable work experience in contract management, proposal development, and subcontract management.
  • Familiarity with GSA Schedules, IDIQs, and Government Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs).
  • Working knowledge of and experience with the FAR/DFARS; conversant in Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) and its impact on proposals and contracts.
  • Familiarity with government contracting terminology and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with federal contracting, including competitive and sole source proposals and negotiations, and a working knowledge of federal acquisition policy and process.
  • Experience negotiating Fixed Price and Time & Material/Labor Hour contracts; familiarity with cost-type contracting is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently with minimal oversight, and create quality work products to meet timelines with limited guidance.
  • Highly motivated and organized; customer-focused; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills; adaptable to a variety of business situations.
  • Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change.

  • National Contract Management Association (NCMA) certification (i.e., CPCM, CFCM, etc.) preferred.


Salary Range: $150,000-$180,000 based on experience and qualifications
