Note:This role is a hybrid position with the expectation to work onsite (3) three days a week in the Ericsson office located in Plano, TX (preferred) or Boise, ID. Relocation is not offered for this position.

About this opportunity

Ericsson is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Director Commercial Contract Management to support deal-shaping and drive contractual excellence across Market Area Americas within Business Area Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions (BEWS). This role offers the opportunity to manage the full contract lifecycle, contribute to strategic commercial decisions, and build strong cross-functional partnerships across a global organization.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary contractual point of contact for BEWS, managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle - from opportunity evaluation through negotiation, execution, governance, and closure - ensuring alignment with Ericsson's policies, sales directives, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide strategic contract guidance aligned with company objectives, working across Business Area and Market Area stakeholders to promote risk awareness and governance discipline
  • Partner with Sales teams to identify contractual risks early, building compliance awareness and supporting Ericsson's strategic positioning
  • Build trusted working relationships across geographies, customer units, and internal functions to enable smooth contract execution
  • Collaborate with Commercial Management, Legal, Finance, and Sales stakeholders to review and refine commercial terms and conditions
  • Maintain thorough contract documentation, follow-up processes, and compliance with internal policies and approval frameworks
  • Apply proactive problem-solving to navigate complexity while embracing digital tools, AI-enabled processes, and continuous improvement practices


Location: Plano, Texas (preferred) or Boise, Idaho. No relocation or sponsorship offered for this role.

The skills you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent qualification
  • At least 7 years of relevant commercial contract management experience with a solid understanding of contract and business law principles
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders including Sales, Legal, Finance, Delivery, Sourcing, and Operations
  • Experience managing customer and stakeholder relationships across all organizational levels
  • Strong ability to prioritize independently and deliver results in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Working proficiency with contract lifecycle management systems, sales governance tools, analytics platforms, or automation solutions
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Go-to-Market models and/or experience in telecommunications, IT projects, or indirect sales
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional language proficiency is an advantage
  • World Commerce & Contracting (WCC) / IACCM certification or equivalent is a plus

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
