Position Description: As a Director, Consulting Delivery, you will shape and drive the success of mission critical client programs while mentoring the next generation of CGI leaders. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of client partnership, delivery excellence, people leadership, and operational stewardship.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, lead diverse delivery teams, ensure quality and profitability, and elevate CGI's brand through expertise, execution, and collaboration. This position is located in Fairfax, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Client Relationship & Business Development
Build and sustain strong, trust based client relationships throughout engagement lifecycles.
Identify new opportunities during delivery, helping clients access additional CGI capabilities and services.
Support account growth through solution design, proposal development, and collaboration with Account Managers.
Promote CGI's expertise within the client space and broader market.
Service Delivery
Oversee delivery of high quality client engagements, ensuring outcomes meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Champion client satisfaction and continuously improve delivery performance.
Participate in governance, reviews, and health checks; implement actions to strengthen engagement success.
Contribute to service and solution innovation to benefit clients and fuel CGI's profitable growth.
Team & Member Management
Lead workforce planning, resource assignment, recruitment, and onboarding.
Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and transparent communication.
Conduct performance management activities (goal setting, feedback, evaluations).
Support member development through mentorship, stretch assignments, and involvement in CGI initiatives.
Encourage knowledge sharing, collaboration, and practice community participation.
Operations Management
Ensure adherence to CGI management frameworks (OMF, CPMF, CMF).
Drive financial excellence through proactive management of utilization, margins, bill rates, and subcontractor strategy.
Monitor time reporting and financial performance for accuracy and timeliness.
Optimize team composition to deliver value efficiently and sustainably.
Development of Expertise
Maintain deep subject matter expertise and act as a trusted advisor to clients and teams.
Stay current on industry, technology, and market developments.
Contribute thought leadership and share expertise across CGI to strengthen organizational capability.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Knowledge & Experience
Demonstrated success in consulting delivery, project/program management, or related leadership roles.
Strong understanding of client industries, market dynamics, and business drivers.
Experience applying delivery frameworks, project management methods, and risk/issue management practices.
Familiarity with financial and contractual management principles.
Previous experience leading teams and developing talent.

Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
Experience in business development, including solution shaping or proposal development.
Expertise or previous experience in environmental regulation or the environmental space.
Certification in project management (PMP preferred)
Consulting experience within federal, state/local government, or highly regulated sectors.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $127,500 to $276,200.
