General Description:
  • The position plays a critical role in supporting clinical development by ensuring timely, reliable access to comparator medicines across global markets. As Director, Comparator Sourcing, this role defines and executes the global sourcing strategy that enables this success.
  • This is more than a sourcing leadership role. The role influences commercial strategy, shapes supplier partnerships, strengthens supply resilience, and builds market intelligence capabilities that create competitive advantage. Working closely with Commercial, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Finance, this role identifies growth opportunities, mitigates supply risk, and leads transformational initiatives that improve customer outcomes and business performance.
  • This role leads a team, develops future leaders, and creates an environment where innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement thrive. As part of the Global Clinical Supply Chain Leadership Team, the role ensures strategic alignment with Global Clinical Supply Chain and BeOne's strategic goals and builds strong relationships with functional leadership to support organizational alignment and prompt resolution of critical issues.
  • The role requires expert working knowledge of supply chain best practices and experience working within cGMP and GCP environments, along with strong cross-cultural awareness and communication skills to lead in a fast-paced, multicultural organization.


Essential Functions:

Strategic Sourcing and Portfolio Management
  • Partner with GRDS to develop and execute a global comparator sourcing strategy aligned with clinical development priorities, financial goals, supply continuity, and reliable market access.
  • Shape sourcing plans that support key customer needs, new product access, supplier diversification, and supply resilience.
  • Supplier Partnerships
  • Partner with GRDS to build strong relationships with strategic suppliers, including governance, performance reviews, escalation, and long-term collaboration.
  • Resolve complex supplier and operational issues with clear ownership and timely decisions (e.g. alignment on storage conditions and pack configuration).
  • Market Intelligence, Transformation, and Performance
  • Build enterprise market intelligence capability to anticipate industry trends, supply risks, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities.
  • Sponsor digital and process transformation that improves sourcing effectiveness, scalability, reporting transparency, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional performance improvement initiatives that strengthen global and regional program execution.
  • Represent comparator supply in monthly CD&OP Supply Review Meetings, providing executive-level updates on delivery performance, risks, mitigation plans, and business impact.


Cross-Functional Leadership and Compliance
  • Influence senior stakeholders across the enterprise and align comparator sourcing strategy with clinical, operational, financial, and business priorities.
  • Build strategic partnerships with internal functions to drive alignment, resolve issues, and support disciplined execution.
  • Ensure scalable systems, processes, and controls support compliant, efficient, and reliable operational and logistical execution.
  • Provide leadership input into departmental policies, procedures, and process documentation to support governance and continuous improvement.


People Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team, building leadership capability and a sustainable succession pipeline.
  • Provide strategic leadership across supply planning, comparator sourcing operations, and business process development.
  • Foster a high-performing culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Lead the comparator sourcing team for BeOne. Manage direct reports and provide mentoring to their teams as required.

  • Experience working in a global, complex supply chain organization within the biopharma industry, with strong influencing, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate market intelligence into business strategy, customer value, and actionable sourcing decisions.
  • Strong analytical capability, with a data-driven approach to problem solving and decision-making.
  • Proven ability to lead change, inspire high-performing teams, and develop future leaders.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity while delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary departments and building effective, engaged teams.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and build strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, including Clinical Operations, Quality, CMC, Regulatory, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Advanced knowledge of global clinical trials and the drug development process.
  • Experience in vendor oversight, external partnership management, and comparator sourcing.
  • Understanding of IRT system functionality and Excel modeling.
  • Strong understanding of global pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, including cGMP, ICH/GDP, GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, and Annex 13.
  • Experience in deviation investigation and CAPA implementation.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams


Education/ Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field required.
  • 12+ years of progressive supply chain experience, preferably within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO industry, including 5+ years in comparator sourcing.
  • 5+ years of leadership and people development experience.

Salary Range: $166,200.00 - $226,200.00 annually

Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
