Full Job Description
Director of Communications will be a driving force for setting the standard in powerfully connected messages.

This role isn't for wimps; it's for Impact Makers. The expectation is that you're driving the vision and execution of external and internal communications for a variety of audiences. ADP HRO is a high-growth business who values people. This role will have an incredibly talented team of direct reports; therefore, we're looking for people -- who love leading people. Key responsibilities:
  • Ability to craft strategic communication plans that include messaging, timing, channel, audience, budget, etc.
  • Great writer that has a strong portfolio of copy written in brand voice along with the ability to demonstrate dexterity depending upon target.
  • Experience in auditing communication journeys.
  • Great team player, willing to work in concert with many Marketing functions including Digital Marketing & Communications, Corporate Marketing, PR, and Product Marketing to name a few.
  • Executive level communication ability -- strategic decks and presentations.
  • Deploy campaigns to effectively execute and maximize effectiveness of content delivery. This will include working with both internal stakeholders and at times working with external creative agencies, content vendors, and product/project teams.
  • Lead a team of highly experienced marketing and communications professionals to keep projects meeting or exceeding our stakeholder expectations for timing and quality, as well as impact.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent in education and work experience.
  • Experience:
    • Strategic thinker with broad perspective and, at the same time, demonstrates an acute attention to detail and ability to execute flawlessly.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of related experience in marketing creating targeted and measured programs deployed across a variety of touch-point channels.
    • Demonstrated ability to conceive and deploy marketing programs, ideally in both B2B and B2C environments.
    • Experience working collaboratively in matrix environments and managing external partners.
    • A high degree of comfort collaborating with senior leaders and across different functional groups.
  • Critical Skills:
    • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and process facilitation skills.
    • Customer advocate philosophy and strong focus on the end-user/client experience.
    • Results-oriented; high sense of urgency, and ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Competencies: As well as having a background in marketing, this professional will have excellent communication, planning, time management, and executional skills, ideally within a large national or global corporate organization. They need to have experience in successfully partnering across various internal stakeholders to effectively drive marketing activities. The role holder would ideally have a good understanding of the human resources industry, with external awareness of market/industry/regulatory issues. They will be able to reflect brand values and behaviors through communication.

Language Skills: The incumbent will have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with wide variety of stakeholders and communicate effectively across all levels.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Bonus points for MBA or Marketing / Communications degree.
  • Digital marketing experience desirable.
