Why this role exists
Xfinity Creative is building a modern communications planning capability within our in-house agency to ensure campaign ideastravelcoherently across channels and customer journeys.
The Director, CommsStrategy0owns the Communications Strategy discipline across Xfinity Creative,operatinghorizontally across pods and campaigns. This role sits at the intersection of creative development and macro communications planning,accountable for defining how campaign ideas translate into cross-channel systems.
As a seniorCommunications Strategy lead across Xfinity Creative,the Director establishes the comms architecture that allows one idea to show up consistently and effectively across touchpoints, identifies fresh & bold opportunities for the brand to show up, and drives innovation inour campaign channel creative thinking.You should be as comfortable withchallenger brand thinking as classic comms approaches.
This roleoperatesacross pods,leading Comms Strategists embedded within pods and setting standards, frameworks, and ways of working across the organizationas well asestablisheffective cross-functional collaboration,while directly shaping priority campaigns.Thisis not a media role.
Establish & grow the discipline
- Own the Communications Strategy discipline across Xfinity Creative
- Accountable formaintainingand operationalizingthe standards, frameworks, and tools for Communications Strategy across XC, in partnership with the Executive Director, Creative Strategy.
- Guide and develop comms strategists within pods.
- Identifyopportunities to improve how campaigns scale across channels and customer journeys.
Comms Strategy
- Definewith Creative Strategy andcreative leadstotranslatecampaign ideas intocampaign ecosystems and fresh, channel-nativeactivations.
- Co-develop channel-native ideas with creatives: bring platform behaviors, formats, bestpracticesand audience context into concept development, helping teamsget toideas, not just adaptations.
- Stress-test and sharpen executions early: ensure the campaign idea holds up across touchpoints (social, OLV, audio, OOH) andidentifywhere the idea needs new mechanics to travel.
- Setdirectionfor how channels are used creatively across campaignsinnew, imaginative ways of how to use channels, find unconventional ones, and partner with Comms Planning + Media to make this possible.
- Bringdeepunderstanding of partner ecosystems, emergingplatformsand the spaces where our audiences spend timetocreative teams to spark new thinking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Serve as the senior Communications Strategy lead partnering with Comms Planning + Media.
- Ownership across Pods of aligningcampaign messaging with media placements, audience mindset, and platform behaviors, ensuring creative and media decisions reinforce each other.
- Accountable for translatingEBI insights, creative effectiveness signals, and cross-channel performance into actionable comms strategy decisions, recommendations, and future campaign guidanceacross the channels.
- Shape the marketing communications agenda across pods, ensuring campaign activityis connected and cohesive across the pods being the 9ground-up voicethat drives marketing alignment.

Ideal background
- 10+ years incomms planning / comms strategy, ideally in anin-house agencyand/orcreativeagency environment.This isnota media role.
- Strong cross-channel fluency and ability to systematize (framework builder).
- Confident collaborator with creative teams; clear communicator and presenter.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Compensation
Primary Location Pay Range: $184,648.77 - $276,973.16
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
