Full Job Description

Are you ready to turn complex data into crucial actions that shape US Commercial strategy and accelerate impact for patients?

As Director, Commercial Insights & Analytics, you will be the connective force between data, strategy, and execution—partnering closely with US hematology and nephrology leaders to surface opportunities and respond to risks with clarity and speed.

Based in Boston, MA, you will be a visible leader who integrates market research, forecasting, and analytics into recommendations that drive growth. You will translate signals from the market into plans that influence portfolio decisions and brand performance, building tools and models that scale insight across teams. How will you use your ability to see around corners to inform choices that matter now and in the long term?

Accountabilities:
  • Opportunity sensing and decision support: Proactively find opportunities and threats by combining data with business context to inform timely, high-impact decisions across the US Commercial organization.
  • Cross-functional strategic advising: Serve as a central point of expertise, partnering with Marketing Leadership, business units, and Business Operations to frame and answer key strategic questions.
  • Forecasting leadership: Build US long-term patient-based and US short-term TRx/NBRx forecasting models that synthesize robust inputs, benchmark against analogs, and align with US and key market assumptions.
  • Executive storytelling: Expertly present forecasts, methodologies, and assumptions through multiple channels—translating complexity into clear, decision-ready narratives for senior commercial and clinical partners.
  • Data rigor and modeling perfection: Ensure objectivity by selecting the right data sources, applying industry-leading modeling approaches, and conducting sensitivity analyses on critical variables.
  • Commercial strategy enablement: Collaborate with leadership and Business Operations to convert insights into strategies and tactics that directly advance growth and optimize performance.
  • Tooling and methods innovation: Evolve analytical tools, processes, and quantitative methods to increase speed, accuracy, and adoption across teams.
  • Performance insight and planning: Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews that diagnose past performance and illuminate leading indicators of future growth.
  • Agile analysis: Deliver high-quality, adaptable solutions to ad-hoc analytic requests, accelerating decision cycles and removing ambiguity for collaborators.

Essential Skills/Experience:
  • Outstanding communication and creative problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of organizational dynamics and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Confidence and ability to present complex information concisely and effectively to all audiences, including senior leaders and groups
  • Strong analytical and organization skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to anticipate future Commercial trends and to integrate that context into business practices
  • Desire and ability to learn/implement new tools and capabilities
  • Experience leading technical teams and individuals across geographies
  • Diligent, self-starter, able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or other quantitative field
  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to: use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; engage in problem solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in Business Analytics and/or Financial Analysis
  • MBA or advanced quantitative rigor degree preferred
  • Prior experience in rare disease
