Full Job Description
Position purpose

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing overall clinical operations and procedures. Participates in the development and implementation of the practice's mission, vision and values.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Directly and/or indirectly oversee clinical operations; technical and professional staff.
  • Interact regularly with executive team to ensure clinical operational priorities are aligned with company's direction.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in strict adherence with company policies, standard operation procedures (SOP), and in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Initiates collaborative relationships between external, internal constituents and inter-office/inter-departmental staff.
  • Evaluates practice productivity and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive implementation of new company initiatives in terms of process improvement.
  • Ensure that safety, welfare, and morale of staff members are not compromised and are adequately trained to meet and exceed the quality of performance.
  • Respond to all operation complaints and provides corrective action for substantiated complaints.
  • Performs supervisory duties including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, intervention and discharge of clinical staff.
  • Oversee that clinical staff maintains the highest levels of customer/patient services externally and internally at all times.
  • Serve as a back up to the Executive Director as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in healthcare administration or related field required. Equivalent combination of education/experience will also be considered.

Experience: Minimum five (5) year experience in operations management preferred. Experience in healthcare industry highly preferred. Two (2) years of supervisory experience required.

  • Demonstrate solid commitment to researching, evaluating and recommending continuous quality improvement plans.
  • Possess calm demeanors to be able to lead and guide during emergency situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and appropriate practice management software.

Equipment Operated: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Work Environment: This job operates in professional office environments.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
