Full Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Research, Policy and Client Account Support
  • Work with client leads to develop short-and-long-term strategy around key client priorities. Provide policy support.
  • Identify industries or clients in need of engagement (i.e. - higher education) based on current political or policy environment.
  • Manage and delegate the Research Team's hearing coverage and completion of internal and client legislative, public policy, and political research deliverables.
  • Supervise & mentor research team and junior staff.

Marketing & Business Development
  • Partner with the marketing team to cultivate leadership opportunities and business development opportunities for the GR team.
  • Collaborate across internal functions to prepare memos, decks, coordinate background research, etc. in support of new business opportunities.
  • Develop new deliverables and add-ons for clients on both sides of the business- both for new clients in the "pitch" or business development stage, and for existing clients.
  • Represent Avoq at conferences/events.
  • Streamline, coordinate, and enhance bi-partisan activities for fundraisers and with client PACS
  • Increased client work and management, inclusive of help staff fly-ins and other outreach as needed.
  • Liaise with outside counsel to ensure strict adherence to ethical standards, compliance with laws and regulations, and other required filings
  • Maintain familiarity with and knowledge of issues important to GR clients, GR team members, and Avoq overall

Requirements

YOUR EXPERIENCE

As a qualified candidate, you have experience in all areas below:
  • 5-7 years of administrative/executive support/operations management experience, preferably including experience on the Hill, Lobbying or a professional services including in a government relations/public affairs setting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with limited supervision, while keeping a professional demeanor
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A positive, professional and "can-do" attitude, as well as being flexible and adaptive to a changing environment

The salary range for this role is $105,000 - $150,000
