Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Capital Operations Director, located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The Director of Capital Operations is a strategic and operational leader responsible for end-to-end capital operations execution within theVelysEnabling Tech manufacturing and distribution environment. This role provides leadership across external distribution operations, internal warehouse execution, inventory control, capital configuration activities, and operational capability deployment to ensure reliable product availability, regulatory compliance, operational scalability, and exceptional customer service.

The position oversees a large cross-functional operations organization and is accountable for driving operational excellence, process standardization, workforce development, and continuous improvement across the site. The Director serves as a key leader in enabling efficient global distribution, integrated system readiness, and execution of strategic operational initiatives supporting business growth and customer needs. The position requires strong leadership capabilities to establish the Capital Equipment Operation Center of Excellence as part of DePuy Synthes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the separation of the DS Capital Operations from the J&J MedTech Deliver network, and integration into the business, with seamless alignment and transition to ensure customer service and performance is maintained.

  • Develop and integrate processes with Global Distribution and Commercial Logistics, including order management, product configuration, and late-stage transformation to support global capital operations.

  • Lead global distribution and outbound logistics to ensure timely, compliant, and costeffective delivery of finished equipment and spare parts across domestic and international markets.

  • Direct capital equipment configuration and system readiness (kitting, integration, testing) to ensure quality execution and ontime customer installations.

  • Develop and lead efficient processes for raw material management to support the DS capital manufacturing operations, ensuring compliant, safe and effective storage and movement of materials

  • Integrate all aspects of inventory management across raw materials to support internal manufacturing, spare parts for service & repair including internal Depot and Field Service, Finished Goods, Systems for new deployments, Loaner and Exchange, and Evaluations.

  • Maintain inventory integrity and ERP/WMS alignment through policies for cycle counting, reconciliation, space optimization, and continuous improvement.

  • Establish global spare part distribution hub for the S&R network, including domestic and international depot operations, field support and third party, as applicable.

  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Trade Compliance, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to optimize service levels, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance on Quality Management System implementations, migration and maintenance to ensure complaint operations

  • Drive capability deployment, process standardization, systems implementation, and crossfunctional transformation projects that scale operations and improve performance.

  • Serve on platform and campus leadership to align operational priorities with broader business strategy and customer commitments.

Qualifications

Education

  • A minimum of aBachelor'sdegree is required, preferably in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Supply Chain. An Advanced Degree is preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant business experience is required.

  • Experience with project and program management processes and tools is required.

  • The ability to collaborate optimally with different levels of management and influence decision-making across a matrix organization is required

Preferred:

  • Product cost management and budget management preferred.

  • Experience, training, or certification in digital analytics capabilities is preferred.

  • Global business experience is preferred.
