Position Summary...
The Director, Business Strategy - Club Transformation leads the development and execution of high-priority transformation initiatives that advance how Sam's Club serves members and associates.

This role translates emerging strategies into executable solutions and operating models, solving complex business and operational challenges, testing new concepts, and building pathways to scale. Working across functions, the Director connects strategy with execution, drives alignment and prioritization, and delivers measurable business outcomes.

What you'll do...
• Lead strategy and execution of high-priority initiatives, translating opportunities into operating models and solutions spanning people, process, technology, inventory, and physical assets.
• Analyze business objectives, member and associate needs, and operational constraints to identify opportunities that improve experience, growth, speed, and cost.
• Design and execute test-and-learn pilots that validate assumptions, generate insights, and inform investment decisions.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through testing and scale, partnering across Operations, Supply Chain, eCommerce, Merchandising, Product, Technology, Real Estate, and Finance.
• Communicate strategies, progress, results, and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Foster high-performing, collaborative teams by creating clarity, sharing expertise, and coaching others across cross-functional initiatives.

What You'll Bring
• Proven experience leading large-scale transformation, business strategy, operating model development, or complex operational initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous business problems and create a structured path forward.
• Strong business and operational acumen, with the ability to connect member and associate needs, financial impact, and operational realities to strategic decisions.
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with experience developing business cases, interpreting data and models, establishing KPIs, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to simplify complexity, articulate trade-offs, and influence senior leaders.
• High ownership and bias for action, with the ability to quickly identify barriers, drive decisions, and deliver measurable business impact.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
