DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position leads the operations of the Bureau of Program Licensure and guides statewide efforts to support safe and effective drug and alcohol treatment services. As the Director, you will perform the following duties:
- Leadership Oversight: Manage and direct licensing activities for drug and alcohol treatment programs
- Policy Development: Create and refine policies and procedures that support efficient and high-quality operations
- Quality Assurance: Set and maintain evaluation methods to review program performance and identify areas for improvement
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure alignment with Federal, regulatory, and Commonwealth requirements
- Interagency Coordination: Work with other state agencies to improve operations and streamline activities
- Staff Direction: Guide the work of professional and technical staff involved in licensing programs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Six years of professional experience administering drug and alcohol or substance abuse programs, including three years in a supervisory capacity, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes three years of supervisory experience in the administration of drug and alcohol or substance abuse programs.
Additional Requirements:- You must have at least three years of experience in the administration and/or regulation of program(s) that require field work or home-headquarter staff.
- You must have at least three years of experience supervising staff responsible for monitoring compliance with local, state or federal regulations.
- You must have professional experience with drug and alcohol or substance use disorder programs.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
