Overview

The Director, Brand Strategy is the lead for uncovering breakthrough customer insights and translating them into marketing ideas for a major RFH client. This role is part of the brand strategy organization, and reports to the VP, Group Strategy Director. The Director will be an insightful and collaborative standout colleague who supports client priorities with deep research insights, a keen awareness of the competitive set, and an understanding of target audience needs and perspectives.

Responsibilities
• Synthesize market research to identify unique insights that will inspire and guide the development of innovative brand strategies marketing ideas.
• Identify high-impact opportunities to drive brand growth.
• Develop clear creative briefs with focused strategic insights and business rationale
• Manage the annual brand planning process across a large, complex, multi-indication brand.
• Lead and facilitate workshops to generate new thinking and improved business strategies
• Build productive collaboration and enable successful teamwork across fields.
• Demonstrate the impact of Brand Strategy by creating demand for its contributions.
• Remain on top of trends in healthcare, pharma and the medical industry.
• Manage and mentor junior strategists/planners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably within business, advertising, marketing, communications, psychology, or related field. MBA a plus.
  • At least 7 years' experience in marketing, brand strategy, or strategic services organizations (e.g., advertising agency brand strategy group, management consulting, brand strategy firm, or pharmaceutical company in a marketing role).
  • Strong awareness of brand strategy frameworks and process, with the ability to create compelling recommendations to drive business objectives.
  • Familiarity with segmentation, analytics, and media research tools is a plus.
  • Exceptional customer insight skills and intuitive ability to understand audience motivations.
  • Ability to distill complex research into actionable insights.
  • An ability to integrate multiple perspectives.
  • Strong communication, writing, and influence skills.
  • An independent problem solver who works well in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Compensation Range: USD $106,780.00 - USD $170,937.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
