Full Job Description
The Director of Brand & Integrated Marketing will own MeUndies' overall brand strategy and translate it into a cohesive marketing calendar, compelling campaigns, culturally relevant content, and consistent execution across every customer touchpoint. This leader will oversee the Brand and Social teams while owning integrated campaign planning, product-launch briefing, content strategy, influencer and affiliate strategy, licensing marketing, and brand partnerships. This is not a role for someone who only develops high-level strategy or manages agencies. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can set the vision, write a strong brief, lead teams through execution, make decisions quickly, and measure what worked.

This role will work closely with Creative, Growth, Retention, E-commerce, Merchandising, Product, Wholesale, and Licensing to ensure the entire organization is working from one clear brand and commercial calendar.

Please note that this is a hybrid position of 4 days/week in our Los Angeles office.

What You'll Do

  • Brand Strategy and Positioning
  • Own and evolve the MeUndies brand strategy, positioning, voice, visual identity, and cultural point of view.
  • Ensure the brand remains distinctive, relevant, emotionally resonant, and consistent across DTC, retail, wholesale, and licensed products.
  • Translate company and commercial priorities into clear customer-facing narratives.
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines while ensuring teams and external partners apply them consistently.
  • Protect long-term brand equity while helping the company achieve near-term revenue goals.

Integrated Marketing Calendar

  • Own the master MeUndies marketing calendar across product launches, promotions, seasonal moments, collaborations, licensing, retail, and cultural opportunities.
  • Create one source of truth connecting Brand, Creative, Growth, Retention, E-commerce, Merchandising, Product, and Wholesale.
  • Lead cross-functional planning meetings and ensure teams understand the objective, audience, message, deliverables, owners, deadlines, and success metrics for every major initiative.
  • Identify calendar conflicts, missed opportunities, and resource constraints early.

Campaigns and Product Launches

  • Lead the end-to-end go-to-market process for major campaigns, product launches, collaborations, and licensed collections.
  • Develop sharp, actionable briefs grounded in customer insight, business goals, channel needs, and a clear creative proposition.
  • Ensure briefs include the audience, insight, objective, positioning, key message, deliverables, channel strategy, timing, budget, and measurement plan.
  • Partner with Creative to develop concepts that are both brand-building and commercially effective.
  • Maintain launch readiness and hold cross-functional teams accountable to deadlines and deliverables.

Content and Social Strategy

  • Own the integrated content strategy across organic social, campaigns, editorial, community, creators, partnerships, and emerging channels.
  • Lead the Social team and establish clear channel roles, content pillars, publishing cadence, and platform-specific strategies.
  • Build a content engine that allows MeUndies to respond quickly to cultural moments without losing brand consistency.
  • Balance polished campaign content with creator-led, community-driven, educational, entertaining, and conversion-oriented content.
  • Establish a disciplined testing and learning process for formats, messages, talent, and platforms.

Influencer, Creator, and Affiliate Strategy

  • Own the strategy for influencers, creators, ambassadors, affiliates, and other external brand advocates.
  • Develop a clear approach to seeding, paid partnerships, long-term creator relationships, performance affiliates, and brand ambassadors.
  • Build programs that generate both culturally relevant content and measurable customer acquisition.
  • Partner with Growth to define channel economics, attribution, testing budgets, and performance expectations.
  • Identify creators and partners who authentically represent the MeUndies customer and brand values.

Licensing, Collaborations, and Partnerships

  • Lead the marketing strategy for entertainment licenses, collaborations, and strategic brand partnerships.
  • Partner with Product, Merchandising, Creative, Legal, and licensors from concept through launch.
  • Develop a balanced licensing calendar that can drive customer acquisition and revenue without overwhelming the core MeUndies brand.
  • Identify new collaboration and partnership opportunities that expand cultural relevance, audience reach, and commercial potential.
  • Ensure all licensed marketing meets partner requirements while still feeling unmistakably MeUndies.

Consumer Insights and Cultural Relevance

  • Build a strong understanding of the MeUndies customer through research, social listening, reviews, community feedback, competitive analysis, and performance data.
  • Translate customer and cultural insights into actionable campaign, product, and content opportunities.
  • Track cultural shifts, category trends, emerging platforms, and competitor activity.
  • Serve as the internal voice of the customer and help teams understand what is changing in the market.

Brand Communications and Community

  • Partner with internal and external resources on PR, earned media, founder communications, events, and brand reputation.
  • Develop strategies that deepen customer participation, advocacy, and community.
  • Identify opportunities for experiential marketing, events, pop-ups, and earned cultural moments.
  • Help shape how MeUndies responds to sensitive cultural, customer, or reputational issues.

Measurement and Hindsights

  • Establish clear success metrics before every campaign and launch.
  • Lead formal post-launch hindsights that assess creative performance, channel performance, customer response, operational execution, and commercial results.
  • Turn findings into specific changes for future campaigns instead of simply reporting results.
  • Develop a brand-health measurement framework covering awareness, consideration, sentiment, engagement, customer growth, and brand relevance.
  • Partner with Growth and Finance to understand incrementality, return on marketing investment, and the relationship between brand activity and revenue.

Leadership and Operations

  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable the Brand and Social teams.
  • Build clear workflows, decision rights, timelines, and standards for excellent execution.
  • Manage relevant agencies, freelancers, creators, production partners, and brand budgets.
  • Prioritize resources across competing initiatives and maintain a high bar for quality, speed, and accountability.
  • Present strategies, plans, results, and recommendations to senior leadership.

What Success Looks Like

  • MeUndies operates from one clear and reliable integrated marketing calendar.
  • Every major launch begins with a strong brief, launches on time, and concludes with a useful hindsight.
  • The brand has a more recognizable and culturally relevant point of view.
  • Social and content become more consistent, responsive, and commercially effective.
  • Influencer and affiliate programs have clear strategies, economics, and measurement.
  • Licensing and collaborations support both revenue growth and long-term brand equity.
  • Cross-functional teams have clearer priorities, ownership, and deadlines.
  • Brand investment is measured with the same discipline as performance marketing.

What You Have

  • 8-12+ years of brand, integrated marketing, or consumer marketing experience, ideally within a modern DTC, apparel, lifestyle, beauty, or consumer brand.
  • Experience leading brand strategy and integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Demonstrated success building marketing calendars and launching products, collaborations, or licensed collections.
  • Strong understanding of organic social, creators, influencers, affiliates, partnerships, and content development.
  • Ability to connect brand-building activity with commercial performance.
  • Excellent briefing, storytelling, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of consumer insights, cultural trends, and modern customer behavior.
  • Experience managing teams, agencies, budgets, and complex cross-functional projects.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with high expectations and limited bureaucracy.
  • Willingness to work at both the strategic and executional levels.
