Director, Bioanalytical Services- Full-Time, Lenexa, KS.

Director, Bioanalytical Services:

• As a Manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
• Travel (approximately 25%) domestic and/or international
Technical & Scientific Application
• Responsible for oversight and maintenance of study timelines and activities. This includes ensuring appropriate resources are available and scheduling of instrumentation is optimized
• Responsible for the operational and commercial delivery of our business targets.
• Responsible for tracking and maintaining metrics governing the activities within the laboratory and reporting these to the bioanalytical management team on a regular basis (these include operational and financial metrics).
• Responsible for tracking and maintaining metrics governing the activities within the laboratory and reporting these to the Commercial Director of the Bioanalytical Group on a regular basis.
• As part of the bioanalytical management team, responsible for the delivery of operational activity and gaining repeat business from sponsors to meet or exceed budget targets.
Maintenance of Laboratory Accreditation and Quality Standards
• Work with the Technical Director of Bioanalytical Services and Associate Director of Immunoassay Services on the laboratory deliverables
• Work with Immunoassay Services at sites to regularly review and assess the appropriateness of our SOPs and amend where required.
• Responsible for keeping abreast of ongoing regulatory updates and work with Associate Director of Immunoassay Services ensuring the lab SOPs and quality standards are updated to maintain compliance with such standards.
Client and Stakeholder Interaction
• Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of good communications between the immunoassay services group and all other parts of ICON.
• Ensuring there is reasonable work occupancy and backlog growth throughout the Group by liaising and coordinating efforts through relevant BD Directors
• Undertake BD activities either alone, with operational staff or with relevant BD Directors to ensure backlog is maintained.
• Responsible for scientific liaison with sponsors on the conduct of their studies and potential opportunities.
• Work as part of the bioanalytical management team to setout strategies for the development of the laboratory and to support the sales and operational teams in achieving their objectives.
• Maintain regular interaction with other members and departments. Provide project management and guidance for multiple analytical teams
• Interface with user communities. Provide customer interaction leadership
• To liaise and co-operate with the sites and the business development aspect of the laboratory.
