We are seeking a strategic and innovative Director of Billing Compliance to ensure the integrity of billing practices across hospital and professional services. Compensation
$185,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive billing compliance initiatives aligned with evolving healthcare regulations and industry standards.
  • Oversee regular audits and monitoring processes to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures with a proactive approach.
  • Design and deliver training programs on clinical documentation, coding, and billing to a diverse range of healthcare personnel.
  • Identify potential compliance risks and craft strategies to mitigate them, responding swiftly to any suspected violations.
  • Maintain meticulous records of compliance activities, generating reports for senior leaders and regulatory bodies to ensure transparency.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical, administrative, and financial teams to embed compliance into daily operations seamlessly.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support team members, fostering professional growth and a high-performing work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare billing compliance within a hospital setting-experience outside of health plan roles is essential.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with demonstrated management success overseeing compliance teams.
  • Extensive expertise in ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding, healthcare billing regulations, and reimbursement systems.
  • Deep understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and related compliance standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex compliance issues to varied audiences, including senior executives.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with acute attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant computer systems.
