Director, Bid Management

About this Role:

The pursuit and support of organic profitable revenue generation via new business and engagement of existing clients. Provides leadership and direction through managers. Develops functional or departmental business plans and contributes to the development of strategy. Decisions are guided by area strategy and priorities.

Responsibilities:
  • Focuses primarily on large and complicated deals based on Total Contract value and strategic priority for the Line of Business (LOB).
  • Assigned for Request for Proposal (RFP) and digital based proposal which require intimate knowledge and details within complex bidding processes in which the levels for commercial deals.
  • Supports activities to help close potential sales opportunities.
  • Identifies key personnel, corporate references, critical partners and subcontractors, and all proposal support resources necessary.
  • Partners with Contracts for all contractual term reviews and escalate as necessary.
  • Collaborates with solution architects to ensure solution meets requirements.
  • Engineers solutions tailored to client specifications.
  • Collects, documents and validates all required costs from Operations, IT, HR, etc.
  • Creates financial models to represent the potential opportunity to the business.
  • Assesses legal and contractual requirements.
  • Ensures all internal sign-offs and approvals occur throughout various phases from qualification to signature stage.
  • Leads through subordinate managers.
  • Executes business plans and may contribute to the development of area strategy.
  • Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced analytical thought and judgment.


Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience leading bid, proposal, capture, or pursuit management teams within a BPO, technology, consulting, or services organization.
  • Proven people leader with a track record of building, coaching, and developing high-performing proposal and bid management teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex, enterprise and Fortune 500 pursuits, driving win rates and revenue growth.
  • Expertise managing the end-to-end bid lifecycle, from qualification and solution development through proposal submission and executive reviews.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Delivery.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, competitive intelligence capabilities, and the ability to shape winning pursuit strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Results-driven leader with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for building high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $160,000 - $180,000.
