Director, Americas Professional Services

Alteryx is searching for a Director, Americas Professional Services. This position is remote-friendly.

Position Overview:

The Director, Americas Professional Services serves as the operational leader for the Americas Professional Services business, with responsibility for strategy, execution, financial performance, organizational health, and customer outcomes across the region.

Working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Support, Finance, and Operations, this leader will ensure customers achieve rapid time-to-value while building a scalable, high-performing services organization.

This is a highly operational leadership role. Success requires strong business judgment, decisiveness, and the ability to create clarity in a rapidly evolving environment. This leader is expected to build more than a successful services organization-they will build a culture. Primary Responsibilities:

Lead the Business
  • Own the Americas Professional Services business, including operational performance, financial results, customer outcomes, organizational health, and execution excellence.
  • Manage the regional Professional Services P&L, including utilization, margins, bookings, forecasting, resource planning, and key operational metrics.
  • Build scalable operating rhythms that improve execution, visibility, and organizational health.
  • Continuously improve delivery processes, governance, resource management, and capacity planning.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and accountability across the organization.
  • Drive predictable delivery execution while balancing customer success, employee engagement, operational efficiency, and business performance.

Build and Develop a High-Performing Team
  • Lead, coach, and develop Professional Services Managers, Solution Architects, Delivery Consultants, and technical delivery professionals.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop exceptional talent while building leadership capability and succession across the organization.
  • Foster a culture built on accountability, ownership, collaboration, continuous learning, and customer obsession.
  • Empower teams to make decisions, solve problems, and continuously improve.
  • Create an environment where high performance is recognized, leadership is developed, and people are inspired to do their best work.

Deliver Exceptional Customer Outcomes
  • Ensure successful implementation, adoption, and value realization for enterprise customers.
  • Partner with Sales throughout the customer lifecycle to define implementation strategies, scope services engagements, and accelerate customer success.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor and escalation point for strategic customer engagements.
  • Drive high levels of customer satisfaction while ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across the region.
  • Balance customer needs with sound business decisions that support long-term success.

Drive Operational Excellence
  • Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting that provide visibility into organizational performance.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy, project health, resource utilization, delivery predictability, and overall business performance.
  • Build repeatable delivery methodologies that enable scale without sacrificing quality.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate friction, and improve execution.
  • Balance short-term execution with long-term organizational growth.

Partner Across the Business
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Support, Finance, and Operations to improve customer outcomes and business performance.
  • Influence product strategy by bringing customer insights and field feedback into the organization.
  • Partner with global Professional Services leaders to drive consistency, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Support strategic initiatives that improve the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Build trusted partnerships that enable faster, better decision-making across the business.

Represent Alteryx
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with customer executives and strategic partners.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends across analytics, AI, cloud data platforms, and enterprise technology.
  • Represent Alteryx Professional Services through executive customer engagements, industry events, and internal leadership initiatives.


Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience leading Professional Services, Consulting, Customer Success, Technical Delivery, or related customer-facing organizations.
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience managing managers and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading a Professional Services business with responsibility for operational performance, financial management, utilization, forecasting, and delivery excellence.
  • Proven ability to build and scale organizations in high-growth, fast-changing SaaS or technology companies.
  • Strong operational mindset with experience implementing processes, governance, metrics, and business operating rhythms that improve execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to make timely, high-quality decisions in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
  • Experience leading organizational change while maintaining employee engagement and customer satisfaction.
  • Executive presence with exceptional communication, influence, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales to support customer success while maintaining delivery excellence.
  • Track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.


Valued Skills:
  • Experience leading Professional Services within an enterprise SaaS organization.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms and enterprise analytics ecosystems, including Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and related technologies.
  • Understanding of enterprise data, analytics, AI, automation, and modern cloud architectures.
  • Experience building packaged services, subscription-based offerings, or scalable customer delivery models.
  • Experience leading organizations through periods of rapid growth, transformation, or organizational change.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The salary range for this role in the United States is $154,200 - $203,110.

Bonus payouts are based on individual and company performance.

In addition to base pay and bonus eligibility, this role includes clear forms of additional compensation, such as:

  • A monthly Connectivity Plus stipend of $150 to support remote work-related expenses
  • An annual $200 home office reimbursement
