The
Director - Americas, Oil & Gas Vertical is responsible for driving the execution of Siemens' growth strategy across the Oil & Gas market throughout the Americas. This role partners closely with sales, domain, and technical teams to develop go-to-market plans, accelerate pipeline growth, replicate successful solutions across countries, and strengthen customer engagement with key accounts and EPCs. As the Oil & Gas subject matter expert, the Director will also provide strategic industry guidance, foster collaboration across local business units, and help align Siemens' portfolio with evolving market needs.
You'll make an impact by - Driving the execution of the Americas Oil & Gas vertical growth strategy by translating zone priorities into country-level go-to-market plans, pipeline actions, and targeted sales plays.
- Aligning Siemens offerings, including DCS, lifecycle services, digitalization, and automation solutions, to address the specific needs of Oil & Gas customers across the region.
- Identifying, developing, and scaling high-impact use cases and lighthouse opportunities that accelerate growth and strengthen Siemens' position in the Oil & Gas market.
- Building and leading a collaborative Oil & Gas expert community across local business units, connecting sales, domain, and technical specialists to share best practices, replicate successful applications, and drive coordinated pursuit strategies.
- Accelerating pipeline growth and opportunity conversion through early engagement with key accounts and EPCs, supporting complex pursuits, and driving the replication of successful customer solutions across multiple countries.
- Serving as the Oil & Gas subject matter expert and strategic advisor, providing industry expertise to sales teams and leadership while ensuring market needs are reflected in portfolio feedback and future offering development.
You will make an impact with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of sales, account management, business development, or industry leadership experience within the Oil & Gas sector, including Energy, EPC, Refining, Petrochemical, LNG, Midstream, or Upstream markets.
- Proven track record of driving business growth, achieving sales objectives, and managing strategic customer relationships within complex industrial environments.
- Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, strategic account plans, pipeline growth initiatives, and complex sales pursuits.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation, digitalization, control systems, software, instrumentation, electrical solutions, or related industrial technologies, with the ability to align technical and commercial solutions to customer needs.
- Experience with contract negotiations, commercial management, sales forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Deep understanding of the Oil & Gas value chain, market dynamics, and growth opportunities across the Americas.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across sales, technical, and domain teams to drive strategic outcomes in a matrixed organization.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage customers, EPCs, industry leaders, and internal partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Engineering Master's degree
- Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are a plus

The actual compensation range will vary based on work location, applicable salary structure, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The pay range for this position is $171,217 - $293,515 annually with a target incentive of 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
