Pay Range:$47.50 - $71.25
Job Description Summary:Plans, delivers and evaluates comprehensive AHEC/Regional Education programs for health care professionals in the Charlotte AHEC region.
Essential Functions:- Manages, leads and supervises assigned human and fiscal resources for the AHEC discipline team and participates in the overall planning and daily leadership for AHEC/Regional Education Services.
- Designs and implements and evaluates a regional strategic plan of operations for AHEC Discipline specific services for the 8 county Charlotte AHEC region including Continuing Education, AHEC Medical Media and Library Services, for health care professionals.
- Analyzes status of the overall AHEC/Regional Education budget as part of the AHEC Leadership team and their discipline team's specific involvement in improving the overall margin.
- Serves as a key discipline liaison to the applicable state AHEC program office. Develops, implements and evaluates regional business and marketing plans of Charlotte AHEC.
- Serves as part of the AHEC leadership team along with the other AHEC discipline Team Directors and Assistant Vice President for AHEC/Regional Education Services.
- Establishes and maintains billing systems for revenue for their department within AHEC/Regional Education Services.
Physical Requirements- Works in an office, library or classroom environment.
- Sight, hearing and speech capabilities sufficient to communicate well with individuals and groups.
- Includes travel to system facilities and regional AHEC sites and occasional travel throughout the state of applicable state.
Education, Experience and Certifications- MA, MS, MSN, MHA, MBA, MPH, MEd or other Master's Degree required with experience in healthcare preferred.
- Fundamental knowledge of principles of human behavior, adult learning, basic management principles and practice.
- Assessment and change methodologies and community diagnosis and organization required with a minimum of 3 years management experience preferred.
