Duties & Responsibilities

Actively participate in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

Qualifications

  • Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
  • Minimum 4500 hours total time with the following breakdown:
    • 1000 hours total time transport category jet aircraft in CARs 705 Airline Operations
    • 500 hours PIC on transport category jet aircraft in CARs 705 Airline Operations
  • Recent airline flying experience within the last 24 months
  • English language proficiency ICAO level 5+
  • The following are considered an asset:
    • Previous autothrottle and/or generation 4 aircraft experience
    • Previous ratings/experience on E170 type variants
    • Previous CARs 705 Airline Operations training and checking experience
    • Aviation College or University Degree
  • Must possess the legal ability to work in Canada. This requires a current, valid Canadian Passport, or a current, valid International Passport with a valid US Crewmember Visa (C-1/D)
  • Pilots that do not meet the minimum requirements may be considered based on experience and other factors determined by the Flight Operations Management team
