You'll build and scale modern recruiting capabilities that attract, engage and hire exceptional talent across Digital, Analytics and Technology, corporate, field, leadership and executive roles. As the leader of Talent Acquisition, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, HR leaders and business partners, translating business strategy and workforce priorities into a forward-looking talent strategy that fuels growth, transformation and competitive advantage.

You'll lead a high-performing Talent Acquisition function, including recruiting leaders, recruiters, coordinators and external partners. You will be accountable for creating a data-driven, inclusive and candidate-centered recruiting organization that delivers talent with speed, quality and discipline. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, executive influence, recruiting expertise and the ability to lead through complexity in a large, matrixed organization.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What You'll Do
  • Set and lead the enterprise talent acquisition strategy, aligning recruiting priorities with business strategy, workforce planning, transformation goals and critical capability needs.
  • Serve as the senior Talent Acquisition advisor to executives, HR Business Partners and business leaders, providing market insights, competitive intelligence and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting strategy and execution across leadership hiring, executive hiring, Digital, Analytics and Technology, corporate functions, field leadership and other critical roles.
  • Lead Best Buy's external and internal talent strategy, including early career programs, internal mobility and proactive talent engagement to build sustainable talent pipelines.
  • Partner with business and HR leaders to forecast talent needs, identify capability gaps and develop pipelines for hard-to-fill, senior-level and business-critical roles.
  • Advance executive hiring capability through disciplined search practices, market mapping, rigorous assessment and exceptional candidate engagement.
  • Personally lead or oversee critical senior leadership searches, ensuring strong partnership, confidentiality, assessment quality and candidate experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement across recruiting operations, processes, technology, vendor partnerships and tools, including AI, automation, sourcing platforms, assessments and applicant tracking systems.
  • Champion inclusive hiring practices and diverse slate development by embedding equity, consistency and accountability throughout the hiring process.
  • Own Talent Acquisition metrics and business reviews, including quality of hire, time to fill, source effectiveness, candidate conversion, slate diversity, hiring manager satisfaction and cost effectiveness.
  • Strengthen Best Buy's employer brand and candidate value proposition in partnership with communications, marketing, HR and business leaders.
  • Manage Talent Acquisition investments, vendor relationships, search firm partnerships and recruiting resources to deliver measurable business outcomes and return on investment.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and professional growth.
Basic Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, workforce planning, executive search or related fields.
  • 8+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition leadership experience, including leading recruiting teams, people leaders and enterprise recruiting strategies.
  • 5+ years of experience partnering with and influencing senior executives, HR leaders and business leaders in a large, complex or matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading recruiting strategy across multiple business functions, including senior-level, leadership or business-critical hiring.
  • Demonstrated experience using recruiting data, market insights and workforce trends to influence business decisions and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Experience leading inclusive hiring practices and building diverse candidate pipelines.
  • Proven ability to lead teams through transformation, ambiguity, competing priorities and high-volume or high-complexity hiring environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or related field; master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience leading Talent Acquisition in a Fortune 500, large retail, technology, consumer, digital or similarly complex enterprise environment.
  • Experience building or scaling executive hiring, executive search or leadership recruiting functions.
  • Proven success designing and executing enterprise talent acquisition strategies that support business transformation, growth, workforce planning and critical capability development.
  • Strong talent market expertise, including competitive intelligence, talent mapping, passive candidate engagement and emerging recruiting practices.
  • Demonstrated success leading recruiting operations, including process optimization, recruiting technology, AI-enabled tools, ATS platforms, sourcing tools, reporting capabilities, vendor relationships and Talent Acquisition budgets.
  • Strong executive presence, communication, facilitation, negotiation and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and translate complex talent insights into business recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional partnerships across HR, business leadership, finance, legal, communications and operations, with a results-oriented approach and passion for candidate experience, inclusion, accountability and continuous improvement.
