Job Description:Dir, RN Infection Prevention & ControlLocation: Ottawa, KSShift: M-F 8:00 am -5:00 pm, no weekends

Key Responsibilities:- Leads the strategic direction of the IPC program, aligning infection prevention goals with organizational priorities and translating vision into operational success.
- Leads all IPC operations, including surveillance, risk identification, intervention implementation, and mitigation strategies across care settings.
- Directs data-driven decision-making by optimizing infection prevention informatics, ensuring data accuracy, and leveraging analytics and visualization tools.
- Drives facility-wide quality improvement initiatives to reduce healthcare-associated infections and elevate patient safety standards.
- Builds and mentors a high-performing IPC team, fostering professional accountability, stewardship, and clinical excellence.
- Serves as a clinical and operational expert, providing consultative support to interdisciplinary teams and executive leadership.
- Leads development and implementation of IPC education, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Guides risk assessments and action planning, including process assessments, diagnostic stewardship, and outbreak response strategies.
- Ensures compliance with national standards, including regulatory, accreditation, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization protocols.
- Collaborates with internal teams on antimicrobial stewardship programs.
- Advances use of surveillance technologies and reporting systems, supporting strategic planning and infection trend forecasting.
- Leads the integration of IPC research into practice, guiding the team in synthesizing evidence, designing studies, and evaluating outcomes.
- Promotes ethical standards and professional practice, aligning with the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) guidelines and maintaining accountability for safe infection control practices.
- Forges partnerships with internal stakeholders and external public health agencies, enhancing infection prevention outcomes across the continuum of care.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Must have knowledge of epidemiological principles and infectious disease, sterilization, and sanitation and disinfection practices. [Required]
Education:- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study:Work Experience:- 4+ experience at a hospital setting. [Required]
- Management experience [Preferred]

Pay Range:$95,266.71 - $177,196.08
